Mr. Kieng Savoun was unjustly arrested
Mr. Kieng Savoun, member of the central committee of the Sam Rainsy Party and 3-star General of the Royal Armed Forces, was arrested by the military police at 5:35 PM, on 16 January 2007, while he was traveling along Monivong bridge in Phnom Penh, Mr. Kieng Savoun was traveling in his private car driven by Voun Oddam, his 20-year-old son, when a group of about 10 armed people, dressed in civilian clothes, riding on 5 motorcycles, stopped his car and proceeded to handcuff his son. They then drove the car to the Cambodian military police headquarters. During the arrest, Mr. Kieng Savoun and his son was not shown any warrant by the armed group, nor were they told of any reason, they were only told that: “The boss wants to meet.”

The arrest of Mr. Kieng Savoun is a serious violation of human rights, and is against the law. SRP is condemning this illegal arrest, and is calling for the immediate release of Mr. Kieng Savoun in order to provide justice and freedom to him, in conformance to the respect of human rights, as stipulated in the Cambodian Constitution.

I don't believe Hun Sen wants to kill or hurt/harm his own people, but he was put in power by the Vietnamese. The Viets think that the US and the world don't know their dirty jobs in Cambodia? Of course they do. The facts are hidden and only the people who were in actions knew the facts.
Hun Sen can only threat to kill his own poeple according to Hani wants. Yes it looks like Khmers kill Khmers. The 5 K plan as example. Million Khmers died during KR regime and million died without having record under Viets/CPP. If one says something they'll come and harass that person. Assume if Hun Sen wants to escape, most likely his price is death. The Viet agents hurt/harm, kill Khmer people but the bad reputation goes to Hun Sen.
IT is only in Cambodia, the generals cannot carry a gun to protect himself but the Mafia of Mr. Nguyen Van Son (Hoc Langdy) can own killing machines.
