A report indicated that Heng Pov, the former Phnom Penh police chief who is currently jailed in Prey Sar, will appear in court on Wednesday. He is accused of involvement in the kidnapping of a Korean citizen for a $10,000 ransom. This will be the first time Heng Pov will stand in the docket at the courthouse after he was sentenced in secret twice on separate issues. He will also face several other court cases such as the imprisonment of a Kompong Speu teacher for a duration of 72-day. For the latter case, he will brought to court on 22 March, and on 27 march he will return again to face the court decision on the murder of the Chak Angre branch director of Electricite du Cambodge.
