Hun Sen to Land-grabbers: This is war!

Translated from Khmer by Socheata

Hun Sen declared that start of the war against land-grabbers. “Nevertheless, I don’t want to strike your army post, and catch you as war prisoners,” Hun Sen said. Talking about a 3-star general involved in lang-grabbing, Hun Sen added: “So get yourself out of it at the end of the meeting. Last nigh he called me to tell me: ‘I will follow [your] order now, Big brother, and if I don’t follow you, it is not possible.’” Hun Sen pointed out the case of Ta Ken (the 3-star general) from Koh Sla, where he told the general that if Hun Sen said no it means no, if not he would be dealt with. Hun Sen displayed two strategies to deal with land-grabbers: (1) if the land-grabber is a [high-ranking] soldier, Hun Sen will order the strike on his army post, and those soldiers remaining alive will be caught alive; (2) using the same strategy used to break apart the organization of Khmer Rouge forces. Hun Sen warned land-grabbers to pull themselves out in order to avoid bloodshed. However, Hun Sen warned, that if [land-grabbing] is still continuing, the bloodshed will also be continued. Hun Sen said that he can no longer tolerate [land-grabbers], especially those who grab mangrove lands.

Today you use jungle-way against your rich general!

How about tommorow will you use this lawless, jungle way to remove small cambodia people from their land to give it to Youn?

Do not use your mouth as law, you fuck up stupid!

The great words of Samdech Choun Nath:

All Khmers, please remember the root and history of our great country
Our boundary was wide and well known
Others always thought highly of our race
And always placed our race as the elders.

We have great heritage and culture
Which has spread far and wide in the Far East.
Religion, arts and education,
Music, philosophy and strategies are all that we have spread.

All Khmers, please remember our roots and history
Which speaks of the grandeur of our great race
Make up your mind and body and try hard to rebuild
In order to lift the value of our nation
To once again rise to the greatness that we once had.

The way Hun Sen is dealing with his generals is quite revealing.

In a stable society, the Prime Minister or President has the law and commanding power over all generals. However, PM Hun Sen has to use threats, war, and possible killing to get his view across. If this is the case, I see many generals rebelling against him. Afterall, they appear to lack respect for the Prime Minister.
