While the National Election Committee (NEC) claimed that, in general, the election campaign was running smoothly, and that the campaign was conducted in an atmosphere of freedom, non violent, and without threats, several political parties are disputing the NEC’s claim and declaration.

Sam Rainsy, President of the Sam Rainsy Party, said that he has no confidence in the NEC. He said that the NEC’s declaration did not clearly reflect the reality because in the last few days, the SRP election campaign was marred by numerous threats from the ruling party.

Sam Rainsy said: “I have no confidence in the NEC. In reality, the ruling party is conducting a lot of illegal activities. One of the illegal activities is the threat pronounced by the village chiefs belonging to the ruling party against the villagers. Therefore, they are not putting their official positions to serve the people, but instead, they are using their positions to campaign for the ruling party. Secondly, this same ruling party uses money to buy the people.”

Muth Channtha, spokesman of the Norodom Ranariddh party, reacted by saying that the election campaign and the upcoming election will not be free and that there will not be clear transparency as the NEC declared. Muth Channtha said the NEC did not pay attention to the proper use of state-run campaigning media, and this since the beginning.

Muth Channtha said: “What the NEC claims as a smooth election campaign without any confrontation, I want to ask the NEC back: is it only when there are killings, grenade explosions, etc… to be considered as major problems during the election or what? Also for the campaigning for example, the ruling party has been campaigning for 4 years, 11 months, and 15 days already. So the NEC does not count the fact that the ruling party is using state properties and state funds to conduct its personal campaign? I cannot accept the NEC claim, during these 15 days [of the election campaign], there are many disputes, nonstop.”

According to a NEC declaration received by RFA on Friday, the NEC Klok Buddy indicated that, in general, the election campaign was conducted smoothly according to standards, and also based on the following 4 factors: (1) active participation of political parties in the free and open campaign, (2) security and order, lack of violence and threats, (3) [the campaign was held] through the broadcast media, and (4) resolution of complaints.

I don't have any credibility to whatever NEC has done or pretended to do. NEC is just a CPP machine to manipulate the election result.
After successive elections Im Suosdey has been awarded by the CPP for his good "Job" a big villa. Before this, he had only a small house, a ground flat in Sangkat Beng Keng Kang.
You can hear what he says loudly after the release of each election result when heavely drunk with his mates at his house, he revealed all his "tactics" for the "Vin by any mean".
SHIT NEC MACHINE.
