In an interview broadcasted on Friday evening by CTN, Kep Chuktema, the Phnom Penh governor, denies rumors which claim that he could be replaced in the near future.

“I am a public official, it is no surprise that I am targeted by rumors,” the former Takeo governor, who was nominated to Phnom Penh in 2003, commented. In front of a crowd of 150 students, Kep Chuktema said that these rumors are pure “invention” and “slandering.”
