13 youngsters, some of whom are sons of high ranking officials, were arrested by the military police after a fight erupted outside of the Spark night club, located along the Mao Tse Tung Boulevard, in the early morning hours between 09 to 10 May. The anarchic shooting led to a police injury. Khun Sam Ol, the military police commander for Khan Chamcar Mon, said that during the fight, shots were also exchanged [among the fighters], causing a lot of noise for the local residents of this area. About 10 shots were heard. The shooting was initiated by a staring contest among the youngsters, this then led to a fistfight inside the night club, before it spilled to the outside of the club. There was also a report of cars ramming each others which led to 2 cars being damaged in the front. The fight climaxed into a shooting along the Mao Tse Tung Boulevard. Khun Sam Ol said that these youngsters are students and some are children of rich people and high-ranking government officials. Hun Sen seriously warned in the past about suppressing the Bang Thom and Bang Touch gangs which create unrest the society. Hun Sen also warned all high-ranking officials to teach their children not to rely on the backing of their influential parents to create havoc. Nevertheless, the situation still remains the same.

Khmers parents and youngsters should read these two books:
1. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey;
2. The habits of Highly effective Families by Stephen Covey (Sean's father).

They can help parents and their children to have good relations from childhood to adulthood, the lack of which can lead to the youngers'delinquency. Money cannot buy these good relations.

Unfortunately, there is no Khmer version of these two books.

Next time, please do not post any photo of suspects before they are proven guilty by a court of law. We should make efforts to get rid of what might be called a culture of presumption of guilt before the judgment of a court of law. Every person must be presumed innocent before that judgment.

If posted, faces of those suspects should be covered. In Hong Kong and other civilised countries, suspects are hooded after their arrest when they appear in public.

Lao Mong Hay, you somehow got a point there, everyone is entitled to be innocent until proven guilty.
But in this case, the face of these young shits of delinquents should be shown.
This is Cambodia and not Hollywood nor Jackie Chan.
They deserve to be sent to labour forced camps or Guantanamo Bay...

According to Buddhism, when an individual has committed any terror to anyone or has created any suffering to anyone, after their lives they will born as their children to destroy their happiness. These children are just like animal. they don't have any human feeling. They came to born to the family to revenge them. Areak Prey

That is fucking 100% Hollywood
influences. The only way to stop
it is to shot a few of them to
make example for others.

Regarding the comment about young shits: Do you not understand what irony is? You criticise them for being violent but you wish violence to happen to them in a place like Guantanamo Bay. Fool!

Because they are rich and sons of high ranking officials, these kids will go free and in most cases, the police will have to apologize to their parents for arresting them. Yes, that's how things work in Cambodia where the rule of law doesn't mean much to the rich and powerful, they can buy their way out from anything.

We need to listen to Mr. Loa Mong Hay, we don't have too many people like him in our country.
Best regards to his comment.

Ordinary Khmers

Yeah, but Dr. Lao is living in the
dream world. Those kids aint gonna
read no moral book. They are
a danger for Cambodia, and they
should be shot in order to protect
innocent hard-working and law-
abiding people.

That is my favorite quote of the day. Noise was the concern, not human life. LOL!

Dear 5:44,
Violence in Guantanamo Bay? Buddy, compared to a Cambodian prison, Guantanamo is Club Med.

What do you expect from children of this govtmt. Children learn their code of conduct and morality from their elders and their parents are group of criminals.

Anonymous said...

Not necessarily, it is certainly
hollywood influences.

Anyway, don't listen to Dr. Lao,
KI. If you got a close up picture
of them kids, post it. That way,
I can hunt them down before they
hurt their own parent and innocent
people.

9:39pm, you've got my support 200%.These young thugs need to be dealt firmly and very seriously. I think the innocents victimes should organize a vigilantes with the help of the govt to eradicate these scumbages from streets, communities etc before they get out of control, and then publicly post their pictures , their names ,and their parent's s name on the streets, restaurants, buddhists temples, schools, public parks to inform the public....and if it still doesn't work just do a la khmer rouges way....( put them in force labor camp and give them nothing to eat)...

I completely disagreed with Dr. Lao. These high ranking and rich kids need their faces to be shown for Khmer people around the world see who they are. Should print their name and whose sons are belonging also. These are the Khmer Most Wanted along with their parents for Cambodia public.

In the west especially in the US where I reside, Only minor criminals whose faces can't be shown. But if you're over 18, TV will show your faces. I don't know where Dr. Lao live before.

In US if the club has trouble outside involving shooting, the city can't shut down the place or people in the neighborhood will protest or sue them until they move away from the neighborhood.

HANG THEM BEFORE TAKE THEM TO COURT. THEY DESERVE IT. HUN SEN HAS NO MERCY FOR KHMER PEOPLE. SO WHY WE HAVE MERCY FOR THESE CRIMINAL HIGH RANKING KIDS.

system!!!ahahahah

The Youn Vietcong will go the way

Good advice from Dr Lao Mong Hay. But you know the fathers of these youngsters are corrupt, rotten people. Their wives (often bearing the ugly title Chumteav)think about nothing. They just encourage their husbands to get more dollars and spoil their kids with their dirty wealth. They don't know or don't want to read book. Their main worry is to keep their husband's position. They deserve what they have done.Remind this Khmer saying: " Dirty wealth never brings happiness".

Alright, 3:04, we finally agreed on
something, hehehe!

During the Sihanouk's era, we learn the phrase, "Back door" or "Tro Paeng Kro-Loeung" in Khmer.

Hun Sen's era, "Meat for Crocrodiles"

Anonymous said...

So what are you saying, 2:30? When
the crocodile coming, run out the
back door? hehehe!

Anonymous said...

PS: Anyway, if the parents of those
wild kids are smart and know what
is good for themselves and for the
public, they must let them fools
to spend sometime behind bars.

Anonymous said...

6:25pm, that's what i'm saying, run fast throught the back door..

There fucken Vietcong slave Cambodian officials can't even teach their fucken children and yet they want to tell Cambodian people what to do!!!!!

I thought I had seen enough and more to come!

you can bark, complain, whine all you want, ain't gonna listen to you jerks, my papa is GENERAL.

Come on 11:28, I don't think the
General has much to do with it.
Some kids is impossible to control
no matter if you are King or poor
slob. However, both need rough
discipline after all other means
has failed. And from the above
pictures, we all know that we are
down to the last option.
