The body of a woman was found in the river close to Prek Prang village, Prek Prosob district, Kratie province, in the afternoon of 24 May. The victim was discovered disemboweled.

40-year old Ton Say, the husband of the victim, said that Chhit Sok Chan, his 33-year-old wife, disappeared at 6:00 PM of 23 May when she went to look for her buffalos behind her home. At 5:30 PM on 24 May, the people who pumped water from the river came to fetch him at his home to go get the body of his wife. She was disemboweled.

Ton Say said: “The body bore the marks of axing in one location, her right jaw was broken, her right eye was hit and bruised, and her stomach was disemboweled and all the organs removed.”

Ton Say and her neighbors claimed that the victim never have any dispute with anybody. The local police could not be contacted for clarification on the investigation yet, however, Ton Say said that the police collected evidence: the shoe(s) of the perpetrator and a bike kickstand, at the location of the incident. Ton Say said that he suspects his wife was raped before she was murdered.

Ton Say said: “I think this accident was a rape-murder. The provincial criminal police arrived this morning to investigate, they found tracks of a pair of shoes along the riverside, a suspicious bike kickstand, but they might not have sufficient evidence.”

Based on the evidence, the police indicated that they have a suspect, but when the police went to look for the suspect, the suspect already fled. Nevertheless, the provincial police claimed that that they will pursue their search.

Ea Narom, the Prek Prosob deputy-district governor, and Adhoc human rights official said that this gruesome murder is the first one discovered this year.

Ah Yuon-Khmer is not evil. They are
hard working and contribute a lot
to our economy. Ah Khmer-Yuon, on
the other hand, causing trouble
all over Cambodia and detered
lot of bussinesses from comming in.
They are working with Ah Sam Nazi
to cause suffering to millions of
Khmer people, so that Khmer people
will hate the government. Both
Ah Khmer-Yuons and Ah Sam Nazi
must be stopped and send back to
Vietnam immediately.
