My name is Nicole Ung, and I'm with the Americans Against the Annexation of Cambodia and Laos by Vietnam (AAACLV). I am here in front of the White House to protest President Bush's hosting of Vietnam's President Nguyen Minh Triet, the leader of a repressive neo-colonialist regime.
Vietnam is in egregious violation of the 1991 Paris Peace Agreement because of its annexation of Cambodian territories, and its neo-colonization of Laos. Furthermore, Vietnam's tri-border security and economic development zone scheme, involving three North Eastern provinces of Cambodia and three South Eastern provinces of Laos, is but yet another form of expropriation, land-grabbing and plunder of all the natural resources of its neighbors. AAACLV also wants to bring attention to the fact that Vietnam policies amount to de-facto ethnic cleansing of the native population in the territories involved. Vietnam's neo-colonization of Cambodia is so apparent that authorities of the Hun Sen government have completely abdicated their authority. They no longer prosecute even common law crimes committed by Vietnamese settlers in Cambodia, thereby relegating Cambodians to second-class status in their own country.
AAACLV points out that what is happening now in Cambodia and Laos is proof that Vietnam's aim has always been its expansion into and domination over all of the countries of former Indochina, and validates the reason for America's involvement in that war. Although this vindication comes 32 years too late, it is now clear that those Americans, Cambodians, Lao, and ethnic minorities who gave up their lives in the Vietnam War did it for the right cause -- to stop the expansion of a ruthless, evil communist regime.
AAACLV would like to appeal to the Congress and President Bush to suspend aid to Vietnam until:
AAACLV will protest in front of the White House Friday June 22, 2007.

AAACLV would like to appeal to the Congress and President Bush to suspend aid to Vietnam until:
- Vietnam stops supporting and manipulating Hun Sen and his ruthless regime.
- Vietnam agrees to recognize the borders set by the 1954 Geneva Convention, void all treaties Vietnam and Cambodia have signed between 1979 and 2005 that amount to Vietnam's expansion into Cambodian territory and unlimited settlement of Vietnamese population in Cambodia.
- Stop all their religious persecution and policies of ethnic-cleansing against the minorities who fought on the US side during the Vietnam War.
- calling on American businesses that have already invested in Vietnam to divest from Vietnam until that government stops its expansionism and lives up to international laws. These include, but are not limited to: Intel, Microsoft, SSA Marine, Honeywell International, International Textile Group (ITG), Winvest Investment, Wells Fargo & CO,
- calling upon those businesses that are about to invest in Vietnam to halt their plans by boycotting that regime until it stops its expansionism and tyrannical rule over its people and the peoples of Cambodia and Laos. These include, but are not limited to: Abbott International, Agilent, Alcoa, Apco Worldwide, Boeing Company, Chevron, Conoco, Phillips, Exxon Mobil, Ford Motor, General Electric, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, JHPIEGO, Raytheon International Inc, Time Warner, UPS, Vietnam Partners, Universal Telecom Services, Inc.

youns (vietnamese) are the China's
ethnic people, so youns culture and
their old characteristic letters are the
same as those of Chinese
No wonder that the tradition of this Chinese
ethnic people(youns called by chinese) is that :
- vietnamese men in in any country, most
of them are thieves or robbers
- and vietnamese women in in any country,
most of them are prostitutes
Nicole Ung,
Thanks to you! you are a heroine.
I hope president will reconsider about the evil head' s visitation.
As I have been told along, but no one seem to care or they don't have an ability to carry such a thing like you. By the way I support you 100%. Yuon swallowed khmer and laos alive. It economic is in the heart of Cambodia. To beg for them inderect way. So, I will help and call all Cambodians in each every states to the While house that day. We need people like you!!...
We really need young leadership like Nicole Ung who dare to stand up for the comon interest. We hate having strong leader like Hun Sen who who only dare to create suffering to others. Come on, other young people!! we must join together !!!!
Nicole Ung, thank you so much for your bravery! Samdech HUN SEN government disguised under the so called"Royal Cambodian government" is nothing more than a Vietcong installed puppet communist government!
The Vietcong inner dealing with Samdech HUN SEN government is totally unchallenged by any foreign powers in the region!
No foreign powers want to supply Cambodian people weapons to overthrow Samdech HUN SEN Vietcong puppet government because Uncle SAM would accuse them of supporting terrorist! This is such a sad tragedy for Cambodian people!
No Cambodian people want to live under foreign puppet government! If the world community kept supporting Vietcong puppet government in Cambodia and I don't know what the future will bring!
Through out history every puppet government will be overthrown!!!
Cambodian people have the right to self-determination!
Nicle Ung, that's good idea that I must 100% follow. You are lucky you can reveal your name in public unlike myself and those who live in Cambodia, if we do reveal our names we must take a big risk of lives. We are in Cambodia and as young genaration, we would do every thing for the sake of our nation.
Ponleu
I love you all, all comments are pure from your heart i can see well..these make me tears.....
me too.. even i live in outside Cambodia, i still can't reveal myself.B/c i know too much about the history and the suffering of the Cambodians.
....eeyore
To get rid of Youn Hanoi to encroach Cambodia and Lao lands is to get rid of CPP and Hun Sen. As long as Hun Sen is in power, forget about Hanoi aggression. If we have a new government in place, that government needs to go to Untied Nation to solve the land encroachment with Hanoi.
Thank you Nicole Ung who dares to stand up with Hun Sen regime and Hanoi. Some Khmer people in US still gave credit to Hun Sen that we do a good deed to Khmer but they have one blind eye like Hun Sen himself. They don't see a current situation. These people need to send to reeducated camp like Kook Prei Sar.
7:57PM You sound like CPP!
That why we no need to replace Hun X with one like you!
