Cambodian police catch 2, hunt for 3 suspects of failed monument explosions
Cambodian police have caught two suspects and were still hunting for three others for Sunday's failed explosions at the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monument, police source said on Tuesday.
The arrested ones, all Kampuchea Kroms, planted three homemade bombs at the base of the monument in Phnom Penh on Saturday night in order to destroy the building, the source said on condition of anonymity.
They would be sent to court for trials soon, the source added.
The three poor-quality bombs were laid late Saturday at the foot of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monument. One exploded at around 05:15 a.m. on Sunday morning, though no one was injured and the statue not damaged. Bomb disposal experts from the Cambodian Mine Action Center later disabled the two remaining devices.
Kampuchea Kroms are those living on the border land that originally belonged to Cambodia but later was claimed by Vietnam.
They used to stage protests in Cambodia, asking for various rights and statues.

It is a fu*king ashamed for the Cambodian government. After the world put an eye on Cambodia because Vietnam ordered Cambodia to defrock Ven. Tim Sakhorn and deported him to Vietnam so Vietnam can intimidate him. Now, Ven. Tim Sakhorn is still disappeared.
To make the world have a different look about Khmer Krom, the Cambodian government uses the same dirty trick that they used to do to blame for Khmer Krom wants to violent to blow off the monument friendship of Vietnam and Cambodia. When this happens, Cambodian people know that Cambodia government will use this to attack Khmer Krom. Yes, finally it is exactly as Cambodian people expected.
If Khmer Krom has money to buy bombs as freaking Cambodian government blames, they will use that bombs to blow off freaking Hun Sen's house, not just stupid monument like that. Khmer Krom in Cambodia is so poor. They have been treated horribly By the Cambodian which is controlled by the CPP who is the puppet of Vietnam. Since Vietnam hates Khmer Krom, so they ask its puppet CPP to defame Khmer Krom as possible as they can.
We are Khmer. We should stand up to against this horrible regime. When they did something wrong to its citizen, they try to use other tactics to accuse its own citizen for alleged crime that they dont commit. We cannot let this regime last any longer. Please speak to protect our Khmer......
It is a set-up pretext to arrest Khmer Kampuchea Krom. It is ashame that Cambodian government are doing this against their own people by the order of their so called Vietnamese master. South Vietnam was South Cambodia before 1949 and the Cambodian people or Khmer Kampuchea Krom, live there now are being suppressed by the Vietnamese government. This issue need to escalate to the United Nation. They need to be heard for what happen there.

I hate the bloodthirsty Sihanouss when he tried to divide the Khmer by naming KHMER KROM, KHMER LEU, KHMER ISLAM, KHMER KANDAL.
