Paris, France (AHN) - A Cambodian-born French woman who left a smudge of lip stick on a white canvas painting she is suspected of kissing faces criminal prosecution.
The woman, who is herself a painter, stands accused of "damage to a work of art," by kissing it and leaving her lipstick on an otherwise bone white canvas. The painting, valued at $2 million, was on exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Avignon.
It was painted by American artist Cy Twombly. Twombly is known for abstract paintings that combine elements such as different painting and drawing techniques, with the use of repetitive lines, graffiti, letters and words.

What a stupid bitch! French education actually makes people stupid that's where Pol Pot got his education.
That American painter's lips were wide open for careless smooching! Why did she land her kiss on the painting instead? Talking about a pricey passion!
The French media certainly want to distance themselves for this act of stupidity. That's why they mentioned "Cambodian-born" French woman.
There are "nuts" everywhere walking on this planet, and education has nothing to do with it. Without education, there would be too many nutty people for this small planet to develop a civilised society as we know it.
Pol Pot took advantage of the poor literacy among Cambodia's rural population to strengthen his movement that we came to know as "Khmer Rouge". Without those illiterate foot soldiers, his revolution would have been just a pipe dream.
2007 is the year of Asian disgrace.
First, The Virginia Tech.
A Korean- American Student in that University went in and killed 32 of his follow classe mates by machine gun. FOR WHAT REASON? JELOUSY & CRAZY WITH SOME KIND OF DISORDERS.
Now, It's one of our own woman. Yes, just kiss...., but who needs her? What are you going to do? Stupidity & crazy can come out with all kinds and forms. Stay normal, if you can and don't go overboard, if it's not yours.
AND THAT TWOMBLY MAN PROBABLY DID IT ON PURPOSE JUST TO GET SOMEONE ATTENTION OR GET HIS ART EVEN MORE FAMOUS. Sure, if someone young enough or stupid enough to touch it, he can order an arrest.
There is his free advertiment flying around the world in no time.
Does anyone has any idea how many newspapers would pick up this story? Check that out! just about any newspapers in Europe had this embarrasing story.
You simply don't display pricy piece of anything within anyone's reach. Where is the yellow or red or blue boundary line or perhaps an alarm that would say or prevent someone from getting too close? you see!
Not everyone in this earth is perfect 10. We saw both sides of this nutty case!!!!!
There is a word that say " look can be deceiving ". Here is its living proof. Becareful out there!
KI,
Please post that pricy art, if you can. Thank you
Inquirer mind
yes, bitch pay for your own stupidity. What's wrong with your little brain?
Cambodian-born French woman is good example of a human! This is what human suppose to do! This is the beauty for being a human! Now for crying out loud! Everybody borne to this Earth at one point is crazy, stupid, smart, forgettful, lost, angry, sad, happy, lovable, analytical, shy, brave, daring ...If any of you out there don't possess any of these qualities or characteristic behaviors then you are not a human! You are God!
A lot of people always rush to judgments but a lot of time they forgot to look at themselves!
If art is so valuable the museum should put it out of reach knowing that some people do have compulsive disorder!!!!
By the way, American artist Cy Twombly also used graffiti as part of artistic expression! According to Wiktionary mean a form of vandalism involving painted text or images in public places. I can’t blame Cambodian-born French woman for following the master himself! Ahahhahhahahhah!
