Nuon Chea, Brother No. 2 of the Democratic Kampuchea regime, said that Ieng Sary’s wife is not guilty of anything and should not be brought to face justice. Nuon Chea said that Ieng Thirith, the Khmer Rouge minister of social affairs, should not be charged. Ieng Thirith married Ieng Sary, the Khmer Rouge minister of foreign affairs. The Cambodia Daily quoted Nuon Chea as saying: “They should not charge Madam Ieng Thirith because she was not involved with any decision making, and she was only in charge of social works only.” Nuon Chea added: “If she is charged, it is wrong. Even Ieng Sary was not involved in the decision making of any arrest.” Nuon Chea also said: “I do not defend them, but this is the factual truth.”

I don't think that we can exampt any khmer rouge leaders from Trial. As a social wellfare Minister, she has committed the most crime because she has sent millions of Cambodian to face death in the jungle with starvation. As a minister, she was very responsible for any death resulting from her porfolio as social wellfare Minister. She has killed millions of young babies, children, old and young of any age because of her social wellfare. Nuon Chea should go to hell to defend his Derachharn friend.

Everyone needs to understand clearly here that she may be nice or innocent, but if her people around her were in danger, dying, starving.facing wrong criminal procecution etc...right under your very regime that your husband were in charge of it and he wasn't able to do anything and just allowing it to slip right under his nose, she and he should be paid! AND THEY SHOULD BE PAID FOR THE CRIME OF THEIR STUPIDITY AND IGNORANT.
But marrying to a Cambodian men, many Cambodian wives usauly don't care too much, but rising baby, take care of herself and her home. That was all, she had to worry about. On top of that many women have to take the most cruelty punishement of all by sharing her husband with other women or his other wives and mistresses, because economicly, she can not really do anything to provide herslef with income and luxury which their husband could and gave it to them. Many just have to stay set up and take it.
Cambodian women took their husband as part of the bussines and not necessary love and passion from within. Their marriage usaully get fixed up by their parents anyway and those men knew, they need someone else to do the job and if they can, sure why not?
LOOK AT MRS. BUN RANY HUN SEN FOR EXAMPLE.
What did she do beside dressing up, going around looking like an ugly Peacock? What skill or education does she has? What could or would privide her with smart or intelligent idea to make a decision concerning our people our counrty and helping her ignorant husband out?
Our people have no home, no food and live like rat and who was The President of The red Cross? or The woman in charge of The Cambodian social wellfare? wasn't it her?
Where is she? Hell no! most of her time, she spent it in her palace looking at her self in the mirrior, seeing, she is the wife of Mr.P.M and what ugly Peacock next dress, she needs to put on in order to be able to walk along with him? and most of all to out shine our very own poor Cambodian women?. She isn't nice. She ugly!!!!!!!!and forever and ever ignorant just like Mrs. Ing Thirith or the woman before her.
You need to change woman and that Ing Thirith woman needs to stand trail and be told that if she is going to be the wife of The Cambodian Government, she needs to be able to do more than just that!!! and open her eyes up bigger!!!!! She lives her life among our people's blood and tears. She needs to be paid for her stupidity and ignorant crime. Otherwise out woman!!!!!!!!!
Get your own little dignity life some place else! We need you like we needs Aids decease!!!!!
