The Cambodia-based Khmer Kampuchea Krom facilitating committee issued a statement, yesterday, demanding that Monk-King Tep Vong and the Ministry of Cult bring back Monk Tim Sakhorn to Cambodia urgently and without any pre-condition.

The committee which represents Khmer Kampuchea Krom monks and people in the World, said that Tep Vong and the ministry of cult are fully responsible in front of the law, the Buddhist rule, and the national history for the disappearance and death of Monk Tim Sakhorn if the latter is faced with any problems.

On 13 August 2007 also, a group of Khmer Kampuchea Krom students who are currently studying in Prey Nokor (current Ho Chi Minh city) also issued a condemnation on Tep Vong who is responsible in the disappearance of the former abbot of the Phnom Den North pagoda who was defrocked by force and whisked away in June. The abbot was accused of participating in activities led by the Khmer Kampuchea-Krom Federation (KKF) to counter the solidarity between Cambodia and Vietnam.

Khmer Krom students who are living in Kampuchea Krom (South Vietnam) said that they are determined to continue the struggle, without backing down, in order to obtain the freedom rights of Khmer Krom people, and they also support activities led by the KKF.
