The sister of Thailand’s coup leader was detained by Banteay Meanchey province custom officers, and her car was impounded when the woman illegally drove her right-handed steering wheel car into Cambodia. The Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper quoted The Nation which reported that 49-year-old Kaknit Boonyaratglin was arrested along with her car by Cambodian custom officers a few weeks ago. The custom officers did not know that this woman is the sister of the current Thai army leader. The younger sister of General Sonthi Boonyaratglin drove a right-handed steering wheel silver Toyota pickup truck into Cambodia through the Poipet international gate on 29 July 2007. When she entered about 200-meter into Poipet commune, the woman stopped her car and changed the Thai license plate to a Cambodian one. Later on, she was arrested by Cambodian custom officers who sent her and her car to their office in Sereysophorn (Sisophon) district. A custom official indicated, at first, the Cambodian authority did not known that she is General Sonthi’s sister, it was not until the Thai authority came to ask for her release that the Cambodian authority knew about this fact, and released her back to Thailand. However, her car is still being impounded in Cambodia.

Good job! But the Cambodian police should had not let her go. She must face the law like everyone else. Who knows how many times she had done in the past.

Imagine if khmer does this in Thailand. Our leader will not go and help you. You're on your own.

This is a wake-up call for the Siam nation.

Our Cambodian custom officers acted within our rules of law enforcement of the nation and to prevent any illegal act/disruption from happening in our state.

More importantly, we are sending them a clear message to the Siam nation that Khmer nation is not living in the primitive period like they (Siam & Yuon) had been allegely claimed us to be.

Think about our hundreds (if not thousands) Koun Khmer panhandles (slave) in Thailand. Thus, solve the issue diplomatically.

This woman is one of the thug family members in Thailand whose family is powerful.
Not only in Cambodia she or her powerful family members do, they do harm the poor Thai people as well. But it is true that Cambodia is a state of lawless ruled by mafia.

It made no sense at all when Cambodian Authority acted like this, and It made no sense at all too that Thai leader used his own authority to release his own sister from her violation of Cambodian traffick law inforcement. she has to receive her penality. Cambodian Traffick Law Enforcement has to act accordingly, otherwise both paries were VERY LAWLESS like that! Thanks for reading this Idea.

Some of you guys could only blame the others. Try to learn from their difficulties and problems. Try to put on their shoes.

I believe if relatives of our prime minister commit mistakes in Thailand, they will release them also when our leaders intervene. The release does not mean they afraid our leader or they do not implement their laws, but they think about political and business interests. This is the trade-off between leaders of the countries. But I am also sure that if our ordinary people do wrong in Thailand, they will be beaten like animals. At leas, Cambodian authority arrested her and proceed to the legal procdure before intervention from powerful people and Thai authority.
