Vietnam, Cambodia look to build on the future
Vietnam, Cambodia have agreed to work more closely in the field of construction.
A memorandum of understanding was signed in Phnom Penh on August 14 by Vietnamese Minister of Construction Nguyen Hong Quan and Senior Cambodian Minister of Land Management, Urbanisation and Construction Im Chun Lim.
Cooperation will include exchanges of visits and the sharing of experiences in civil engineering management, urban planning and construction.
The Vietnamese Construction Ministry also committed to organise training courses for Cambodian construction students and land and construction management officials in either Vietnam or Cambodia.
The Cambodian minister said his country is growing fast and there will be a surging demand for new buildings and urban areas. He hoped that Cambodia’s construction cooperation with Vietnam will bring benefits to both countries.
The same day, Minister Nguyen Hong Quan paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Hun Sen and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Office of Council of Ministers Sok An.
Minister Quan's August 13-18 Cambodia visit's agenda includes working sessions and field trips to Prey Veng, Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Siem Reap and Kampot.

Oh God! I had seen some of the houses and villas constructed by the Viet are down right dangerous!
There is no inspection to verify the quality of the workmanship! It is one of those fucken runaway construction businesses to make quick profit at the expense of safety for Cambodian people!
I mean every fucken year there is always some fucken houses or villas got burn down by fire due to poor quality electrical connection! Thank God that Cambodia don't have earth quake but if Cambodia does have earthquake and thousands and thousands of Cambodian people would be killed due to weak structure! Construction business in Cambodia is poorly regulated and no one will take responsibility when some shit go wrong!
If AH Im Chun Lim is smart enough and he needs to double check the previous construction on the houses and the villas for danger first before allowing more dangerous structures to be built for quick profit because at the end it is Cambodian people who will pay with their life!
The Viet have no business in Cambodian construction business for their shady practices and they better get the fuck out! And, for AH Im Chun Lim, he needs to shut the fuck up because he is no expert on construction issue!
It is amazing to let the archenemy of Cambodia to build houses for Cambodian people and I have to wonder what happen to all those dirt poor Cambodian people who are desperately in need of a fucken job! Oh well! The Viet will have the fucken job and dirt poor Cambodian people look down by AH IM CHUN LIM won’t have the fucken job!
