A delegation of several dozens of people coming from Battambang province, are demanding for a change in the verdict handed down by the Battambang provincial court regarding their land dispute.

About fifty people gathered in the morning of 26 September in front of the Ministry of Justice in Phnom Penh. The demonstrators came from Voal Preng area, Bavel district, Battambang province. They claimed to represent 38 families involved in a land dispute with a local merchant for the past several years. Following a recent verdict issued by the provincial court, the merchant was declared the local owner of a 161-hectare plot of land. The villagers assured that they are the owners of the lands, and even the local authorities did not contest this fact. The villagers ask the government to intervene in this case, and they wish to see 3 of their representatives, who were jailed for destroying the properties belonging to the merchant, be released. The 38 families lived on the disputed land since 1990. Before leaving their provincial capital, the villagers who do not trust the justice system, performed a religious ceremony to ask for the protection and the goodwill of Ta Dambang Kranhoung (Grandpa Kranhoung stick), the genie-protector of the province of Battambang.

I don't remember seeing Ta Dambang Kranhoung as a jet black statue in the old day! Whoever paint this statue as jet black have no taste in artistic value and it looks very ugly as hell!

This statue needs to be repainted to the original color!

Well, let's look at it from the bright side: at least it don't cost us too much to keep it clean. All we can afford to do at the moment is to washed down once every 8-10 years or so. Aren't we smart or what?

To 11:02AM!

Ok! Allow me to paint your stupid face jet black like the bottom of the pot! Since your lazy ass don't have time to wash your ugly face everyday!
