Charles Ray, the former US ambassador to Cambodia and who is the current Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for POW/Missing Personnel Affairs, will visit Cambodia between 03-06 November 2007, to discuss with US embassy officials and Cambodian government officials about US POW and MIAs. According to a communiqué issued by the US embassy on Cambodia on 25 October 2007, during Charles Ray’s visit to Cambodia, he will visit the location where the remains of US soldiers are being dug out, and he will also meet with reporters. Charles Ray was nominated as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for POW/Missing Personnel Affairs in September 2006.
