King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia received a visiting delegation from the Vietnam National Assembly, led by Nguyen Van Son, member of the NA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA Committee for External Relations in Phnom Penh on October 3.
King Norodom Sihamoni expressed his hope that the relations between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the National Assembly and the Senate of Cambodia would be further promoted.
During the visit, made at the invitation of the Cambodian Parliament, the Vietnamese NA deputies also met with the President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and President of the Senate Samdech Chea Sim; Vice President of the CPP and Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen; and the CPP honourary President and President of the Naitonal Assembly Samdech Heng Somrin.
The delegation worked with the Cambodian committees for external relations, international co-operation, information and press; the Cambodia-Vietnam parliamentarian friendship group and senior officials of the Cambodian National Assembly, Senate and Government.
During these working sessions, the two sides discussed measures to further promote co-operation between the two national assemblies, boosting the Vietnam-Cambodia friendship and multifaceted co-operation.
