Suffices it to say that after listening to them again and again, and scrutinizing the audio clips of the interview in question, Khieu spamhan aka "LANG" appeared to have incriminated the Vietamese for their role and involvement in the killing fields.
VOA Cambodia seems to have rather spun the translation making reference to it simply as "Given room to speak, Khieu Samphan raises points that have been raised before, shifting blame from the Khmer Rouge for its autogenocide to foreign powers, often the Vietnamese and the Americans."
Is VOA Cambodia capable of transcribing and translating what Khieu Samphan aka "LANG" has to say in that interview? or is it that VOA Cambodia has some other hidden agenda in the subject matter?
Under the FOIA, I personally request that VOA Cambodia publishes the transcripts and the exact translation of the phone interview with Khieu Samphan aka "Lang". Thank you.

I am not a fan of VOA, bu I won't be too quick to point finger at them. Asian language is just impossible to translate to European base language sometime, especially when you rush to get the news out before your competitions.
Khieu Samphan aka "Lang"? The Mao communist pol Pot,Khieu Sampheng,Noun Chea,Ieng Sary,Norodom Sihanuk,and the Youn Communist dictator Hun Xen,Moha Samdach DDr.Heng Samrin,DDr.Chea Sim,they did not know how was the regime 17.april.1975 until 2007.
Please khmers stand up,no more this regime,no more the foolish family king.We need the truth democratcy.
It is not VOA problem, your KR comrade Khieu Samphan is trying to evade the question about who was in Charge and is responsible for the Killings.

Bear in mid one thing - It is not impossible to translate Cambodian/Khmer language to either French or English. And Khieu Samphan khmer-spoken language is not that much different from the one that is being currently spoken in P. Penh for instance. Regardless, VOA Cambodia must accomodate the listener's request under the Freedom of Information Act.
5:06, most of the translation from Khmer to European that you read is really an approximation. There is hardly any exact translation. Take a common words "Jang riep sour" for instance, usually this is translated by most people as "hello", "good morning," "good afternoon" ... But if you look really close, you'll see that it is only an approximation. Maybe the best translated word should "greeting". And word to word translation is "want prepare querry". Although we khmer know what it mean but, I doubt the european can make that out as "greeting", hehehe. And that is what I was saying.
Keat Chhun is a 2 heads snake.During Pol Pot he is the one who created the KR words like Moha Lout Plas,moha ousshas,tuk man chammen dok chenmenkhat etc..Now when he come to Hun Sen you heard a lots of news Khmer word created by Keat Chhun.His wife is Vietnamese.She doesn't understand K C speach Khmer during the student meeting at University of Kompong Cham when he was a dean during 1968.K C is good speaking khmer better than his atomic academic.I don"t know why he work with uneducated Hun Sen.May be He was appointed by youn to work under Hun Sen.
Keat Chhun and Soc Anh must stand trial too, because these two big head known the facts about killing fields. Soc Anh yuon borned Cambodia worked as teacher at Kirivong and he also chief of Srok Kompong Trach. Well the real killers will be revealed soon.
