Burmese dictator to visit Cambodian dictator

Myanmar PM to visit Cambodia

YANGON, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar Prime Minister General Thein Sein will pay a goodwill visit to Cambodia in the near future at the invitation of his Cambodian counterpart Samdech Hun Sen, said an official announcement from Nay Pyi Taw Monday, without specifying the date of his visit.

It will be the new Myanmar prime minister's introductory trip to another member country of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) following those to Laos and Vietnam earlier this month.

Thein Sein was appointed as new prime minister on Oct. 24.

In May this year, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen visited Nay Pyi Taw, the new capital of Myanmar, and the two countries made some achievements in expanding the scope for bilateral cooperation in various fields including the spheres of tourism and air transport

During the visit, Myanmar and Cambodia agreed to launch direct flights between the two countries from Bagan and Mandalay to Siemreap.

There has been close exchange at high level between Myanmar and Cambodia since more than a decade ago. In October 1996, Chairman of the Myanmar State Peace and Development Council Senior-General Than Shwe visited Phnom Penh, during which three agreements were signed on tourism, air services and establishment of sister cities between Bagan (Myanmar) and Siemreap (Cambodia).

Then Cambodian First Prime Minister Prince Norodom Ranariddh came to Yangon the same year and an agreement on the establishment of a joint commission for bilateral cooperation was inked.

During Hun Sen's earlier Yangon visit in 2000, an agreement on mutual exemption of visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports was signed.

Hun Sen attended a Mekong economic cooperation strategy summit of four countries -- Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand held in Myanmar's Bagan in November 2003.

Myanmar and Cambodia are not only cooperating in the 10-nation ASEAN as fellow members but also active in the five-country economic cooperation, also known as the Ayeyawaddy-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS).

Moreover, Myanmar and Cambodia are joining in a four-country civil aviation cooperation which also involves Laos and Vietnam to seek development of air transport in the subregion.

Under a multilateral agreement reached in Phnom Penh in April 2005, the CLMV countries have sought promotion of air travel and cargo as well as tourism services among the four latest ASEAN members.

Myanmar signed a bilateral air transport accord with Cambodia in 1995.

Yay! Welcome and Thank you for taking the time to visit our fellow Mekongers.

We missed you! And congratulation for being democratically elected as PM, General Thein Sein. The Khmer people will be looking forward to see you here.

This even should not be anything less than Red Carpet treatment with Apsara dancer, flower girls, live band, ..., and what have we.

Long live Mekongers!

Folks, if it sounds like a dog, smells like a dog, and barks like a god--then it must be a dog. And this dog --I tell you-- quite of a dog; it is capable of downplaying the situation. In other words, this dog is like the late Sadam's former Information Minister per se. These two dogs share the similarity and dictatorial leadership style. Moreover, this dog getting an enormous compensation from its master.

Of course, we all know that the Vietnamese like their favorite food. Yes, you've guessed right: "Dogs!" These dogs know precisely how to bark, because they were taught by their master (Uncle Ho). Guess what will happen to these dogs when they cease barking? They will be served as their favorite food.

In the meantime, keep barking while your time still left. You days are numbered!

Okay, and our day number will exactly 365,000, and you can count down from today on, fair?

Good dog! Keep barking! Once you stop barking -- then you'll be cooked. Fair?! I think it's a fair game!

At least, we do not call our partner the "Axis of Evil" when establishing good relationships.

Certainly, both countries have many interests in each other, which makes this visit a mileston for Cambodia.

We're not stopping anyone from veturing out there to protest; however, you MUST obtain special information for the Ministery of Information before you're planning to jam the already jammed traffic.

This milestone visit will make our relations with Burma even more stronger. Why spoil?!
