NA chairman greets Cambodian legislators

VietNamNet Bridge – National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong received a delegation from the Cambodian NA’s Committee for Foreign Affairs in Hanoi on November 14.

NA Chairman Trong welcomed the visit by the Cambodian delegation, led by the Foreign Affairs Chairman Son Chhay, that coincided with the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic ties, the 40th founding anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the 30th anniversary of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA).

Chairman Trong said Vietnam and Cambodia share a time-honoured friendship and have enjoyed fruitful cooperation in many fields in recent years.

The top Vietnamese lawmaker spoke highly of the role of the two countries’ NA external relations committees in fostering ties between the two legislative bodies.

He said he hoped cooperation agreements between the two committees and the two legislatures will be implemented soon, thereby promoting further friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Son Chhay expressed thanks to the State and people of Vietnam for their valuable assistance over the past years. He said the two countries should increase mutual support for development to catch up with other nations in the region and the world.

The same day, the Cambodian official held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Van Son.

The two sides agreed to increase their committees’ coordinating role in beefing up cooperative ties between NA bodies as well as speed up the implementation of accords signed between the two legislatures.

The legislators discussed preparations for a Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos seminar, scheduled to take place in Cambodia, to seek ways to boost friendly and cooperative ties among the three nations, and promote development in areas along their common borders.

They also agreed to closely coordinate at multilateral forums, particularly within the AIPA and ASEAN cooperation frameworks, and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

To: Mr. Son Chhay!

I just hope the Vietcong new agency doesn't twist the truth about you going to Vietname only to express thanks and gratitude toward the Vietcong!

Please no more thanks and gratitude toward the Vietcong government because I have seen enough of AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave officials praise lavishly upon the Vietcong for all the thankfulness and the gratitude! Because of the thankfulness and the gratitude toward the Vietcong that is why AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave dictator allowed Khmer citizen such as Monk Tim Sakhorn to be jailed and judged under the Vietcong institution!

You know too damn well that Cambodia can do with or without the Vietcong assistance!

Your job is to tell the Vietcong government to respect Khmer people right and to respect Cambodia sovereignty! And please tell the Vietcong that the Vietcong law can only apply to the Vietcong population but not to Khmer population!

Please speak your mind and speak with conviction because not only you that want a betterment of Cambodia because the rest of Cambodian people are dying to make Cambodia as a better place for all Khmer people too!

Please tell the Vietcong that Khmer people don’t need the Vietcong political shackle around their neck because they are not the Vietcong slave!

If Monk Tim Sakorn is not freed from the Vietcong jail and you haven't done a good job and maybe you are under pressure of big and powerful thugs or you are just trying to fool Khmer people or maybe your best is not good enough! You will be followed closely whether your words match with your action!

Fear no Vietcong!

Wrong, Cambodia will never make it alone. It needs to work jointly with all neighbors.

As for Ah Yuon Sakhorn, we must stick to ASEAN non-interference policy.

ah chke 1:53PM; lets drag your mother to thank ah kantop youn tov...ok?

Okay, I will when my mum is messing around with Khmer national security, alright?

Although I understand the concern of 1.07 pm, i am not sure that raising the thorny question of monk tim sakhorn in a formal courtesy call is productive. I am sure that Son Chhay whom I know will do what he has promised and raise this question in a discreet manner so that to get the maximum efficacy.

Yes, but the problem is Ah Son Chhay's maximum efficacy will be empty as usual.

Dear Son Chhay & Colleagues,

I am reading this news with tearing and upset. Vietnam's news only one side is not enough. But I can see how this news tried to repeat the same phrase "promoting further friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia". This phrase come from the joint statement of Vietnam-Cambodia in the year of 2001 (http://www.mfaic.gov.kh/cooperationdetail.php?contentid=1410)

We have to understand that from this Joint Statement led to the agreement of Supplemental Border Treaty which is known as to re-legalize the invasion in January 7, 1979. And Vietnam has stepped forward many steps such as arresting or blocking Mongtangard tribes, depriving Khmer Kampuchea Krom people, speeding triangle development and other overwhelming treaties with Cambodian partner.

Vietnam's influence inside government is undeniable in a deep unusual situation. So, now MP Son Chhay, I am afraid that you are being used to popularize their unusual Vietnam-Cambodia relationship. Asean has nothing to do with current subtle Vietnam-Cambodia relationship. The relationship that is using as a propaganda.

SRP lawmakers should investigate and review nature of Vietnam-Cambodia relationship in order to make sure that it is genuine relationship.

In order to make sure that bilateral relationship between Cambodia-Vietnam is genuine, we have to consider tactics below:

1. Internal Cambodian government must be strong in both good governance and decentralization. Now, Cambodia is very weak if we compare with Vietnam as a state-building. The shortfall of Cambodian Immigration Department, the rampant corruption and the same leaders with same old favoritism and family patronage will not qualify for independent state in relationship with Vietnam at all because they were helped to power by Vietnam. And how Cambodian leaders distinguish bilateral relationship with gratitude that they must do towards Vietnam?

2. Many current CPP as well as government leaders are former cadres who were members of Indochinese Communist Party created in 1953 that has transformed itself to remain strong continuity with different strategic plans.

3. We do doubt that Vietnam might force Son Chhay to repeat the Vietnam-Cambodia bilateral relationship without concerning to deal with case of Tim Sakhorn and many other issues especially the ongoing violations of borderline.

The only way to beat the Vietcong is having more children of our own. It is good that we are brown and not as yellow. Thus, they can't get rid of us easily because we don't asimiliate with them. The Viets are very deceitful and everybody knows that. They are causing trouble wherever they go.

A good Vietcong is a dead Vietcong!
So die you bastards!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, but for that to happen, you have to be more successful than the Vietcong, because no one will give their daughter to loser, and you can't have children.

Anonymous said...

Since when is ah srokey youn is successful? haha

you are right, 1:53 PM, we need to increase our population.

Anonymous said...

I wish that Cambodian population can expand even more but due to all the corruption and poverty created by AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave and it will be tough for dirt poor Cambodian people to have more children!

Anonymous said...

No, you got it backward, 11:47. It is the expansion of population that causing poverty in Cambodia. For cry out loud, we are working our asses off, days and nights, to make everyone rich, but they abused it by making too many babies and cut their own wealth down to about 1/6th or 1/12th.

To 5:34AM!

Oh really! Explain to me why dirt poor Cambodian population is being displaced by the illegal Vietcong population? So much for your twisted logic!

You are too much for me!

Anonymous said...

Sorry 8:25, I am not aware of any Khmer being displaced by anyone. Maybe you are referring to Ah Khmer-Yuon Squatters from South Vietnam.

To 4:23PM fool!

You have no knowledge of basic Cambodian geography and here you are trying to argue with me! Ahahhahahahha

You know that you are a Vietcong in disguise and would to like to put all the blame on Khmer Krom people for all the bad things that the Vietcong had done since 1979!

The Vietcong blame game is over because the evidence showed that the Vietcong occupied Cambodia for 10 years to prolong the war and the suffering on Cambodian people and of course installed a Vietcong slave puppet government to hijack Cambodian economy and signing illegal treaties to annex vast Cambodian land!

It seems that the Vietcong want to rewrite the whole Cambodian history in their favor by not letting the Cambodian people know the truth of Cambodian history and even now! Ahhahahhahhah!

The Vietcong sometime forget that they are being watch by Cambodian people and that is O.K because the Vietcong will never get away for what they have done!
