The route is part of the Trans-Asian railway route Vietnamese Minister of Transport Pham The Minh and counterparts of 20 Asian nations signed in mid-November in Busan of South Korea
Two Chinese railway firms will help research and build a 130-kilometer railway of the 1-meter width running from Saigon to Loc Ninh of central Binh Phuoc province with total investment of $438 million
Vietnam will invest $33 billion to build the North-South backbone railway in 2009 to help realize the country's targets to become an industrialized nation by 2020, state media reported
The country is now operating around 3,000 km of railway, running across 35 cities and provinces. (Vietnam News Agency Dec 19)

Hun Sen's brickering has weaken Cambodia's position among world community. He should focus on things that will help sustain the country's growth.
Enact Immigration Law Now!!!!!! Ah Youns will dumps thousands to millions more of its people when the railway operational. Currently, we don't even have Records Keeping. How many Vietnamese in the country? If you asked HunSen and his cronies ministers, they would say this much with an index finger & their thumb.

This is My Point Of View,This is good business for all the investors for each country for thier people.
Best of all for tourist to come to Cambodia,More money for Cambodia,More job for our people.
I have nothing against creating Jobs, but there are hidden dagers here. KHMER WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE THE FREEDOM THAT THE REST OF THE WORLD IS EXPERIENCING. The current situations in Cambodia is a clear predicament where Khmers' are heading in the future.
There will more bloodshed. We are encountering the border encroachment from all neighbors. What the CPP is doing right now? Everyone knows the answers. The people are too afraid to stand up to revolve. However, the land grabbing, evicting, lawlessness from all walks of gov't officials, repressive/oppressive on the population, ETC! WILL WE EVER GOING TO FIND PEACE, OR WILL WE GOING INTO ANOTHER REVOLUTION?
PEOPLE POWER. FARMERS' POWER.
IT WILL TAKE PEOPLE'S POWER SOMETHING LIKE IN THE PHILLIPINES OR EVEN IN INDONESIA TO THINGS MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. THAT DAY WILL COME SOONER OR LATER.
