Joseph Mussomeli, US ambassador to Cambodia, said that the progress of the legislative reforms in Cambodia is on the right track. At the opening ceremony for the Battambang American Corner, on 12 December, Mussomeli said that legislative reforms in Cambodia still have a long way to go, however these reforms are on the right track. He said that the justice system in Cambodia cannot change instantaneously, it will take a long time to improve. He compared this to a tree that needs time to grow. Mussomeli added that, moreover, the justice system in Cambodia was destroyed by the Khmer Rouge regime in the past also, and he said that what the (Hun Sen’s) government should do, is to at least reveal the faces of corrupt justice officials. He stressed that: “At least, the justice system must be served by honest people not involved in corruption.”

You must be one of the CPP who corrupts Cambodia and grabs land from innocent people. You don't know America, idiot. America is a founding father of democracy and who creates the law for the people and by the people. Off course it's not very perfect because of each individual commits the crime, but at least they have an honest court to trial the corrupted person who involves in the crime. How is about your country? Do you find justice for your own people? or you need to bribe the judge to get justice?

That's what the Ambassador point to get justice to Khmer people. You have done nonething to Khmer people but to stir and cause trouble. Mr. Ambassador has done a lot of things to Camboda and her citizen. He is much better than the previous one.

i met the ambassador this past fall when he was in the united states for 2 months.he is very humble person and has nothing but love for cambodia.i think with his recent visit to the US,he was able to hear the shouts of angry from the cambodian community has for the state of being of cambodia now.

he is doing so much for our country, you have the respect the man for it.he can just stay behind his desk in phnom penh and focus on strengthing the relationship with US and Cambodia but instead he s giving his all for our people

Ambassador Mussomeli, a Strongman indeed, it's not just depicting a man, but he is doing something about the issues that nobody care enough to stand up to the injustices and malficient and malignant syndromes that the CPP does to the Khmer citizens.

He is a compassionate being: one principle in buddha teaching. Ah Hun and Cephalopods' brain like the Norodom claimed to be a very devout Buddhist. Do these creamy "merde la tet" know what is Buddhism all about?

Here's we have a man that 9:56PM said, "Bullshit, no one listens to stupid westerner trained people who constantly destroyed Cambodia." The world now know more about the Dark Mask that HunSen wore. Everytime when someone Nailing HunSen on the Head, he very Frightened. And he would come out of the Rats' hole, and barking like a dogs!

Ambassador Mussomeli, on behalf of the unfortunate and scared citizens of Cambodia. I, Stephen Bach Vanhaussen, appreciate your perseverance & struggle to fight justice for us all.

Please let me telling people who (former cambodian communists) have just learned the democracy:

Democracy comes from the Greek word, "demos," meaning people. In democracies, it is the people who hold sovereign power over legislator and government.

Although nuances apply to the world's various democracies, certain principles and practices distinguish democratic government from other forms of government.

Democracy is government in which power and civic responsibility are exercised by all citizens, directly or through their freely elected representatives.

Democracy is a set of principles and practices that protect human freedom; it is the institutionalization of freedom.

Democracy rests upon the principles of majority rule, coupled with individual and minority rights. All democracies, while respecting the will of the majority, zealously protect the fundamental rights of individuals and minority groups.

Democracies guard against all-powerful central governments and decentralize government to regional and local levels, understanding that local government must be as accessible and responsive to the people as possible.

Democracies understand that one of their prime functions is to protect such basic human rights as freedom of speech and religion; the right to equal protection under law; and the opportunity to organize and participate fully in the political, economic, and cultural life of society.

Democracies conduct regular free and fair elections open to all citizens. Elections in a democracy cannot be facades that dictators or a single party hide behind, but authentic competitions for the support of the people.

Democracy subjects governments to the rule of law and ensures that all citizens receive equal protection under the law and that their rights are protected by the legal system.

Democracies are diverse, reflecting each nation's unique political, social, and cultural life. Democracies rest upon fundamental principles, not uniform practices.

Citizens in a democracy not only have rights, they have the responsibility to participate in the political system that, in turn, protects their rights and freedoms.

Democratic societies are committed to the values of tolerance, cooperation, and compromise. Democracies recognize that reaching consensus requires compromise and that it may not always be attainable. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, "intolerance is itself a form of violence and an obstacle to the growth of a true democratic spirit."

What is the real democracy in Cambodia now?

Thanks to the USA for bringing the real democracy to Cambodia.

Mr. Ambassador, only if you had more bite than bark, the people of Cambodia should have not to suffer.

As the Ambassador of the United States of America, you can do plenty. We need more bite than bark from YOU and your boss at the Capital Hill.

Mr. Ambassador, how would you feel to be front and center before the Senate Committe telling the truth about the suffering of these people. If you're unable to do this, you cannot handle the truth.
