Translated from Khmer by Socheata

A one-month opinion poll conducted by the Beehive radio station indicated that the majority of the population supports the unification among the SRP, the NRP, and the HRP. Mam Sonando, Beehive director, told the Samner Thmey newspaper that his one-month opinion poll ended on Sunday. The poll results indicated that he received 4,400 letters from listeners, and the majority of them support the unification of the SRP, the NRP, and the HRP. Mam Sonando indicated that only 22 letters did not support such union. He added that if the three political parties respect the people’s opinion, they should think about this issue. However, the unification or not depends solely on the will and the strategy adopted by each party, and the opinion poll is an initiative privately conducted by Beehive radio station only. The NRP supports this result also, but the HRP does not support this result, saying that in this opinion poll was conducted mainly among those who support Mam Sonando to start with, the SRP indicated that the unification is already taking place at the grass root levels and it is calling on minor political parties to join the SRP.

The numerous diversities of opposition parties, the vote counts will inevitably be dispersed. I truely support the unification.

Oppositionists!, unify the parties for the benefit of the Cambodian people!!!. If unified, a comprehensive internal rules must be established.

Deceiving the voters to be confounded, because each of the opposition parties is campaigning to prove its political capability and quality.

As long as the parties don't have real leadership and a workable program the unification won't be much help. They need to show solutions not just talk nicely.

Folks, not even the 5th Buddha, Preah Sear Metrey, is able to unite theses 3 aothoritarian parties, i.e. the SRP, NRP and HRP. They have their own political agendas. They are created to simply serve the interests of their leaders, period. They do not give a damn about either Cambodia or its people. Only fools believe they do.

Please stop wasting your time to suggest that these 3 parties be united. Sam Rainsy, Norodom Ranariddh and Kem Sokha will never listen to you. Each of them had proven so for at least one thousand times already. Why are you so blind as not to see their dictatorial style of leadership? Why are you so deaf as not to hear the outcry of the poeple who have sacrificed everything for these 3 parties but have been rewarded simply by disappointment, misery or death.

Folks, please wake up to the naked reality that your support to any one of these 3 parties or to the union of the whole lot will reap the same reward as to raise either a tiger or a crocodile. Your trtagic end is certain!!!

Unification of these party will not get any where, will not do any good for this up-coming election but bitterly disappointment on the aftermath of election and inevitably internal power struggle between the 3 party leaders "Who should be the leader".

The similarity between these parties is that they end with rp (SRP, HRP, NRP). The only different is S, H and N.

In matter of fact, I realized the truth long time ago and not just now But don't have political blood inside me - just following, trying to understand more in dept if not all and monitoring the up and down side of political parties and their performance.

Thank you

Yes, I agree with the alliance of the Khmer democrats. But I have a strong reservations with NRP though, it cannot be trusted for sure.

I support SRP + HRP.

If needs be please make Mr. Sam Rainsy and Mr. Kem Sokha both co-presidents of the Alliance. Make them both with equal say.

This is the time to unite Democrats and win over the communist CPP.

Make it the Democrats vs. the Communists election please. The people will see the different for sure.

I understand there is always some differences between the SRP and HRP, but find the common grounds to work on for the sake of our dying nation.

Both SRP and HRP are working on a platforms of democratic principles and this is the common ground for the union, while respecting each small differences and work on common grounds please.

Please do it for the nation for once.

United We Stand!

Yes, they do work on a platforms of democratic principles, however, don't think that they [party leaders both SRP and HRP] are willing enough to sacrifice their efforts and principles not to please their elite members when come to sharing of portfolio posts should they win the election, only to see more unhappy environment afterward.
