Woman had a heart attack and died in the court room

A woman died on the spot of the hearing room of the Supreme Court in the morning of 12 February, while she was waiting for the announcement of the court sentence. The Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper reported that Siv Keang was the name of the 55-year-old victim who lived in Russey village, Russey commune, Srok Srey Santhor district, Kampong Cham province. She was a merchant. She came to the court hearing room in a lawsuit case in which she sued another person who owed her $1,100 since 1998. While waiting for the court sentence, she complained that she did not feel good, and the court security guards tried to help her, but they were not able to do much as the woman died immediately. The police said that the victim could have had a heart attack, or maybe she died from other illnesses. However, she is not expected to be scared of the court case until she had a heart attack at all. This is the first time that a person died during a court hearing in Cambodia.
