I am sad and pathetic to Cambodian peoples. Starting from governmental officials, teachers, labors, and farmers; they are the victim of this corrupted and bourgeois government.

Many policemen and teachers have forced themselves to receive bribes or threat people to pay them illegal fees. They are doing it for their survival, they are not considered as the victims of those top leaders and elites.

Revolutionary movement must start by understanding of these lower class peoples....they are pathetic and unfortunate...

Your're lucky kids. In The US gasoline is $3.15 a gallons!

1 gallon [US, liquid] = 3.785 liter

So in Cambodia 1 liter costs $1.16 So 3.785 liter x $1.16 = $4.39/gallon!

Oh well! Whoever manage Cambodian economy are like children who are still learning in the pre-school!

Be real m y man, a gallons of gasoline is equivalent to 3.78541 liter, and we are talking the cost per liter here not a gallon.

You mean to say that it costs $4.39 per gallon in Cambodia? This is expensive!

When you go and buy crude or refined fuel from OPEC or refinery [Caltex, Shell, Mobile, BP] and tell them this is for Cambodia market - a developing country which can't afford the asking price, It is unfortunate that those [OPEC and refineries] will say to you straight and for the record "Sorry this is the price".

The selling price of gasoline in any country around the globe, except OPEC itself might subsidy for their people, are including sell tax and levies and certain EU countries now will look into emission levies as well as part of their commitment to cut greenhouse effects and be in line with Kyoto protocol or the Bali declaration.

I know this is a challenge for all third world countries that is trying to get out of the slum, not just Cambodia.

I don't have any good solution to offer, but hope we find our own oil or something soon.

I always notice in any economy whether in rich country or poor country and the poor people will always pay more and tax more for everything!

The reason because poor people don't have choice! And beside majority of the world population are poor!

Since Cambodia is such a poor country with so many dirt poor people and without doubt dirt poor Cambodian people will always pay more for everything and so they better work twice as hard as the Thaicong and the Vietcong just to have the same standard of living!

This is such a pity for dirt poor stupid Cambodian people!

Shaking my head!

Yes, your perception is correct, 1:32, and the reason for that is because most of the rich people can't make law against themselves. Do you know what I mean? Sure, sometime they do a few things for us, but most of the time it is for them.

If you want law for poor people, you have to turn poor people into lawmakers, but that is impossible because poor people could destroy the country.

Let's face fact, it's suck to be poor.
