On Tuesday, Prime minister Hun Sen accused the SRP of wanting to eliminate the monarchy to please republican party supporters in Australia and in other countries. During a speech given at a bridge inauguration in the outskirt of Phnom Penh, Hun Sen said that the SRP wants to please its republican supporters by saying that “the future of the monarchy depends on the voters.” Hun Sen said that no one can bring amendments to the monarchy, and that this is a clear message: the CPP supports the monarchy and the current monarch. Eng Chhai Eang, SRP Secretary-general, rejected this accusation by saying that his party does not change its stance in supporting the monarchy. Eng Chhai Eang told The Cambodia Daily that the SRP has no right to eliminate the monarchy at all, and the SRP supports the monarchy and the constitution. However, Eng Chhai Eang said that the ultimate fate of the monarchy rests on the entire Cambodian people, and the SRP has no intention of eliminating the monarchy.

The SRP is bullshitting as usual, They all want to seek revenge for Sam Sary against Sihanouk, just like the LonNolians and Sarimatakis people do.

It is amazing. Both CPP and SRP do not really want to keep the monarchy, but only the SRP has the courage to say so.

What Eng Chhai Eang means is this: if the people vote for SRP to form a government, the SRP will have a mandate to abolish the monarchy.

Okay, here the deal with CPP, 4:02: So long you are not in the way of CPP, they have no reason to touch you. Thus, the monarchy is safe, unless they pose a threat to the CPP or something. Which is normal to everyone.

On the other hand, the SRP is different. That is they will seek revenge for Sam Sary, and everyone in the monarch knows it.

Very well put forward suggestion.

Yes, we support the constitutional monarchy but its ultimate fate rests on entire Cambodia people.

Sure AH HUN SEN want to keep Cambodian monarchy and he want to keep them so that he plays with them like little children!

By the way no Cambodian King can pardon anybody including his half-brother without permission from AH HUN SEN himself! It seems that only AH HUN SEN can decide who should live and who should die!

What the fucken point of having a dumb fuck aristocrats who born with privilege and live off Cambodian people like a drone with no ambition for life which contribute nothing to Cambodian society?

I really hate those fools who were born with privilege into monarchy family, rich, and powerful family...Because those fools who born with privilege feel that they don't have to work as hard and they view themselves as being superior by birth because of their background but in reality they are just dumb fuck people who have nothing to contribute to Cambodian society!

Cambodian leaders must turn Cambodia into a competitive society for Cambodian people to compete with the same level playing field and the same opportunity for Cambodian people to strive and to grow on and every Cambodian people who born to this world must earn their privilege, their respect, and their place in Cambodian society!

If Cambodia continue to practice monarchy and aristocrat and it will only continue to create division within Cambodian society among the have and the have not!

True that king can pardon convict independently, but they never do. They always consult with other people to make sure they do the right thing.
