Perhaps they should let him out on bail. He's to old to flee. Plus, he might be healthier for the trial.

On the other hand, he might croak in detention due to stress or whatever. Then everything goes down the drain.

This is obviously 100% hypocrite. The dog (Ghai) accused our government violated Human Right by detaining the accuse without trial for an excessive period of time, but the ECCC is doing exactly the same thing here.
