HERE'S THE IDEA TO DEPOST THE CPP! WITHOLD EVERY COMMODITIES THAT FARMERS BRING TO THE MARKETS. LET THE RICE CROPS DWINDLE TO <5% EVERY SECTOR IN CAMBODIA. LET THE INFLATION RISE TO 2000% FOR EVERY GOODS/SERVICES.

FARMERS NEEDED TO BECOME CO-OP WITHIN THE PROXIMITY--TO CONTROL PRICE AND DEMAND PRICE OF GOODS/SERVICES. MONTHS AFTER MONTHS OF CRISIS--I BELIEVE THAT THE CPP WITH ALL THE PHDs FROM DONATED COUNTRY WILL NOT HELP THEM FROM THE PEOPLE'S UPRISING.

SOMETHING LIKE THE ZIMBABWE IN THE CURRENT NEWS.

THE PEOPL HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEMAND THEIR GOVERNMENT TO ACT UP, OR GET OUT OF THE OFFICE, SO SOMEONE ELSE AND COMPETENT PERSON CAN WORK FOR THE PEOPLE AND THE COUNTRY.

Yes, let the Hunger be the driving force! There are plenty of people and children around the corners of every villages in Cambodia. I'd like to see the people to step up to the plate for the common cause.

Everyone has the right to free, pursuit of happiness, and enjoy the public offering--not to live in fear and intimation.

End Hunger Now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Farm equipments, better seeds, crop rotation to increase yield is the way to practice agriculture; is there anyone in Cambodia ever promote better farming technique in the Khmer Society?

Will we ever escape from being a beggar society in this life time? Will the CPP has the anyone to help the aleviate the societal problem that is escalating in this past months? IS THERE RED CROSS THAT THERE TO LEND A HAND WHEN THE PEOPLE CRYING OUT FOR HELP?

10:11 PM, Since when we, khmer, have a decent king since Angkor era. The present king's not loco but a sissy ballroom dancer. For better future of Cambodia abolish the monarchy and establish the public state now. Today we have well-educated khmer from in and out of country who can attribute to built a new Cambodia to a better and respectful nation. Khmer better off without king. Today, monarchy around the world is the symbolic of the past. Monarchy is dead.
Love my motherland.

Yes, 10:30, but equally important, we need more water to produce more yield, unless we want to farm cactus, LOL.

LOL, 11:22PM,

It's easy bro/sis. Theoretically speaking, if the governments were working for the people in the last 30 years, we would already have a system of water management. Water management is just the tip of the iceberg where the Khmers government FAIL the people. Please think about it, the Water Cycle. If you can dig, you'll find it for irrigation purposes, thus, hopefully increase yield in crops.

The Minister of Agriculture in Cambodia, whoever that might be--ougth to think a little bit for the country. Provide the farm equipment to the "may-khom, or May-phum", instructed him or her to use the Tractors to plow the fields for the villagers. This is too long for discussion in the Agriculture fields.

The Hmong, Phillipinos, and some parts of Africa use a new hybrid Rice crops does not required much water. Just like growing a Tomato plants.

IF KHMERS WANT TO ADVANCE, ALL OF US NEEDS TO PUT EDUCATION FIRST. THE ILLITERACY RATE NOW >50% FOR 15+ YEAR OF AGE. We need a society that everyone is equally important and everyone is punish by laws.

The amount of this peaceful demonstration participants are significantly telling us that Cambodian peoples are living?. Absolutely, they are living under fear. Fear that has tremendously endured to uphold by Hun Sen leadership to achieve his political win-win strategy. But who know the vote casting will not be in fear because it is a secret vote as peoples understood. NEC has tried to manage voting system that they can identify voter list in order to maintain fear situation. This is very subtle tactic!

Sam Rainsy has to be aware of creating self-confidence, no fear, and brave for Cambodian peoples. When Cambodian peoples have no fear and self-losing, SRP will win the election easily.

Furthermore, this demonstration is successful for SRP. Sam Rainsy is very brave to organize this peaceful mass demonstration. It is an eternal torch of brighter future of Cambodia.

12:59AM, your intellectual comment on irrigation to sustain agriculture in Cambodia is adorable. I do agree with you, and how much Ministry of Agriculture led by Chan Sarun has cared about this? I think he has cared only about land concession, logging companies, mineral digging research, and other lucrative business opportunity.

Oh zip it, gorillas (2:08 and 12:59), fact of the matter is we are the fastest growing country in the world. Every year our irrigation system is expanding more and more, and our rice production were up and up, until the last few years where we were able to stock and import surplus. Furthermore, starting this year PM Hun Sen is calling for more focus on rural development; thus, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Absolutely, they are living under fear.

Appericiate if you can explain clearly the term you describe as fear in this context.

People who lived through the KR regime would tell you exactly the extreme feeling of fears they have endured and haunted them until now comparing to what your comment in here.

At least, people now are not fearing to be picked up by the KR spy or cardet at night and walked them to the bush and disappeared forever.

Personally can't see that people nowadays are having such extreme fear at all.

NEC has tried to manage voting system that they can identify voter list in order to maintain fear situation. This is very subtle tactic.

If you said that NEC can indentify voter list then the small amount of people in that organization are genius because no country in the world can identify a voter list and pick up those who are not voting for ruling party or vote for the opposition party.

How much rice production is up and becoming surplus when Cambodian farmers are lacking of farmland, irrigation system, agricultural subsidy, sufficient income to confront with current inflation, and they are starving of no rice to eat. This not mention of cloth, shelter and medicine.

Hun Sen economic is for burgeons, the poor are just their tool to negotiate aids and loans from international communities.

That is childish idea.

Don't think any poor farmers would rather having their produces rotten in the farm instead of taking the opportunity to cash in on their produces. Even if you are farmer yourself you don't want to loose such an opportunity for your hard working earned cash.

Even the 5% you mentioned would not deter or kill the city dwellers to pay for it and the suffers are those interstate migrants who came to city for work.

Inflation in Zibawee is current 2,000% or might be higher, does it really taking the toll on leader there or the ordinary people.

MONTHS AFTER MONTHS OF CRISIS--I BELIEVE THAT THE CPP WITH ALL THE PHDs FROM DONATED COUNTRY WILL NOT HELP THEM FROM THE PEOPLE'S UPRISING.

Bet you that this is people dream but not in their reality or real world. Can't see every Cambodia want to go through nightmare or sacrify their life for this childish idea again in their whole life.

Don't try to tell people that you would give up your luxery life now for the cause that will never be realised.

THE PEOPL HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEMAND THEIR GOVERNMENT TO ACT UP, OR GET OUT OF THE OFFICE, SO SOMEONE ELSE AND COMPETENT PERSON CAN WORK FOR THE PEOPLE AND THE COUNTRY

The best way ever and painfree for everyone is to exercise your rights by turning up to vote on election day.

Remeber that ballot paper is a secret paper unless you want to disclose to other.

No mention the FEAR and PTSD of the KR. Our current government leadership has fabricated the situation to intensify FEAR through:
1. Repeating past brutality
2. Power monopoly of Hun Sen and his cronies in the government.
3. Policemen and military including higher ranking Buddhist monk leaders are not neutral and belonging to national institution. They are inclining to political party (CPP).
4. Major national mass media both TV and Radio are performing one side interviewing or reporting. No media ethic for those reporters being practiced to create justice and non-fear for the audience (listeners) at all.
5. Land-grabbing is doubling
6. Politically-affiliated judiciary system is widely conducted.
7. High ranking officers are not working for the nation and Cambodian peoples. Major part of their work is to favor political party (CPP).
8. Hun Sen's public political rhetoric is still showing the prospect of FEAR.
9. Many murderers are still floating without punishing. Culture of impunity is the main source of FEAR.
10. Dissents are always threatened. Opposition parties are being split from inside through threatening, positioning, bribing, or using government court.
11. etc

farm land - do agree that certain group of farmer to have land to farm as theywant to. However, certain group of farmer; in particular those along the national roads and wide section of areas considering to be beneficial to business; decide to go broke buy selling their land and this is a self made poverty which cannot be asked for other to take responsibility for own action.

Irrigation system - Not saying that KR is master of irrigation but during their era they forced people to dig and build in every corner of country where can derive water to irrigate farm lands. What happen was that after the 1979 people who lived in the areas destroyed the much needed systems just for a small token "fish" by letting all the water out and the system ran dry. It is time that we shall learn the important of that system.

Agriculture subsidy - will not work at all for small scale farmers but rather benefit the business sector who go under that umbrella.

sufficient income to confront with current inflation - did you know that, accordance to survey, people in wealthy country such as USA and Australia are skipped their meals on certain occasions per week in order to have money to repay their home loan and in order to keep their houses.

Those peoples in USA or Australia has sufficient income from their certain job and good security future predictability; but if we compare to Cambodian peoples (89% are farmers) are totally depending their living by land and farming crops.

When inflation is bombarding they are going to sell their land and crops more to purchase food, cloths, medicine, and other necessary items.

Comparing Cambodian peoples to those developed countries, Cambodian peoples cannot afford to survive themselves with necessary needs of life while those can skip their luxurious life to sustain themselves.

I don't where are current economic growth of Hun Sen leadership heading to?

2. Power monopoly of Hun Sen and his cronies in the government.

Can assure you that this practice is not just in current government but in any government in the past [as far as I can remember from 1970].

4. Major national mass media both TV and Radio are performing one side interviewing or reporting. No media ethic for those reporters being practiced to create justice and non-fear for the audience (listeners) at all.

That was also prectice in the past. Code of ethich for Reporters/journalists in Cambodia are non existing and that include foreign media as well.

9. Many murderers are still floating without punishing. Culture of impunity is the main source of FEAR

Culture of impunity is stemmed out from hatrate and revenge and does exist in our society for centuries dated back to the Cambodia ancient history/the great Khmer empire.

10. Dissents are always threatened. Opposition parties are being split from inside through threatening, positioning, bribing, or using government court.

When there is a problem or crack within the party, its leader shall look into the cause[s] and investigat throughly and do its best to fix the matter before it is too late.

Can assure you that most people involve in politic [minor or opposition party] in particular those who have not yet enjoy any posting in government will do everything in their power to secure something for themselves. Loyalty to party is somehow second issue because of the fact that the handful of inner circle/trusted members of the party are most beneficial of popularity, prestige position and guarantee of opinion put forward and the poor har working members are always left out.

From your perspective on 2, 4 and 9 points significantly dictates the chronological lineage to describe current situation of Cambodia. If you stand on that political rhetoric, Cambodia since the independence from France has been vastly operated by short-sighted leaders. When they came to power, they didn't exercise their power for long term future of Cambodia, but they exercise their power through self-political paranoia or it means they afraid of their own shadow. This phenomena happens to only less educated leaders.

Cambodia will not advance to any better future and sustainable political arena to compete with globalization if Cambodian political leaders just compare their regime to the past regimes, or just satisfying with small short term achievement.

Point 10 is truly caused by many factors: outside orchestration through "carrot and stick" and inside "weakness leadership".

Otherwise, when parties members are tending to value materials and power positions, they are absolutely easily lured by materialization and power repositioning.

Have you stopped picking your argument out of the head? You don't need to be an Economist to understand the economy. If what you claimed is correct, then take the currency exchange for example, $1.00 = 4,000R. Weak or strong economy. $1.00 = 29baht.

Please take the time to think and use your God given brain, Don't be a Fart head!Give me some data for the claim if you still think Khmer economy is strongest/fastest growing in the world!

This phenomena happens to only less educated leaders.

How would you explain Pol Pot action? He was intelectual himself and as leader of KR and his regime he managed to wipe out almost 2 million of his own people.

Point 10 is truly caused by many factors: outside orchestration through "carrot and stick" and inside "weakness leadership"

It happened to FUNCIPEC and it will definitely happend to SRP for reasons of weakness leadership on "A Fair Go" for all members as a strenght of the party.

Plateform and policies of political party in Cambodia is unpredictable. There's little chance for competent and suitable candidte to challenge in leadrship role.

Cambodia will not advance to any better future and sustainable political arena to compete with globalization if Cambodian political leaders just compare their regime to the past regimes, or just satisfying with small short term achievement.

Globalization is a tool for the rich country to get even richer and poor country is gettin poorer, there is no balance equation for a fair go that poor copuntry can do and catch up. Globalization is nothing more than to satisfy the life style of a rich countries on the expenses of the the poor countries.

Short term achievement shall always be in focus in order to have reserve for the long term achievement. Both short and long term shall be in line with each other.
