Opposition leader Sam Rainsy has declined to apologize to Foreign Minister Hor Namhong for remarks made earlier this month at a ceremony to remember the Khmer Rouge takeover of Phnom Penh.
Sam Rainsy told reporters as he arrived from a two-week trip to the US Tuesday that he was not wrong.
Hor Namhong filed suit against Sam Rainsy earlier this month, claiming the opposition leader implicated him as a member of the Khmer Rouge at the Boeung Trabek detention camp, which operated during under the regime, in an April 17 public speech.
Hor Namhong could not be reached for comment Monday, but he has said he wants a public apology for the remarks. Sam Rainsy has so far not apologized.
Phnom Penh Municipal Court prosecutor Ouk Savuth confirmed Tuesday the courts had received the suit, but he declined to comment further.

Beside Mr. Sam Rainsy didn't even mention his name and how dare he demand an apology! If AH HOR NAM HONG doesn't have a name and maybe he deserve an apology because he is God!

sam rainsy has to apologize to M. Hor Nam Hong or otherwise sam rainsy will be condemned in justice and he has to come to the court when he will be summoned.
If he refuses to go in front of the court, he will be forced by the police force.
And if he opposes by the strength to the police force, he will be penally pursued for violence to polices and rebellion.

Listen fool! If Mr. Sam Rainsy didn't even mention anybody by name and how he can AH HOR NAM HONG claimed that what Mr. Sam Rainsy is talking about is him! It is a fact that the whole CPP clan is former Khmer Rouge killer including AH HUN SEN, AH KEAT CHHOUN and him!
So the logic is how can AH HUN SEN court calls upon Mr. Sam Rainsy to face what charge and against whom that has no name!
If Mr. Sam Rainsy called some fool by name then it is with in the right of AH HUN SEN court to call upon him to face charge base on the name of the accuser otherwise AH HUN SEN court better fuck off!

Oh! please stop wasting time to manipulate this law. Regarding public affairs, inquiry needed, and this case Mr Hor should response to the inqury for public knowledge.
Any of his personal affairs then he can sue Mr Sam, regarding privacy act.
But, Cambodia is lawless. The law is in the hand of the One who's running the country. Any saying, insinuation, or implication can be sue for defamation. Cambodia laws are made to protect the officials. For ordinary citizens, you're in deep water!
5:59 FYI! This is what perjury mean: The offense of willfully telling an untruth in a court after having taken an oath or affirmation. This term only applied when a person/person(s) is brought to court to sworn before a judge. If he/she lied under oath, then and only then they may be charged with perjury. Mr. Rainsy is not under arrest is he? What you looking for is the word defamation of character and it's not criminal it's ciivil suit.
