Jailed Khmer Rouge leader Khieu Samphan was taken to the hospital Wednesday, as another former minister of the regime was appealing her detention.
Khieu Samphan was received at Calmette Hospital for high blood pressure, Khmer Rouge tribunal spokesman Reach Sambath said, as former social affairs minister Ieng Thirith attended a bail hearing.
It was Khieu Samphan’s first trip to the hospital, which has so far been visited by fellow former leaders Nuon Chea and Ieng Sary.
Ieng Thirith’s hearing, meanwhile, lasted nine hours, but judges delayed a verdict. Ieng Thirith’s lawyers argued she would not pose a threat to proceedings if she were released ahead of her atrocity crimes trial.

It is time for him to assess his life. He doesn't sleep well or has a nightmare during the night time.
He had about 2 million of victim on his conscience: it is normal that he is hospitalized for high blood pressure.
He is over, now, an old man to be considered by his fellow countryman like a mounster.
Sleep well, big brother, in jail of course.
khmer victims are screaming for justice. please don't wait any long. please help find justice for all cambodian victims of the KR rule. god bless cambodia.

Understand your plight [for a quick trial] but sorry to say that you will be disappointed because the trial may not be completed until 2010 or may be before if the accuses would go to heaven before end of the trial, such as the case of Slobodan Molosovic of the former Yougoslavia.
