Hun Sen’s calling all parties to recognize the upcoming 27 July election results was met with strong reaction from opposition leader Sam Rainsy who said that Hun Sen should not force others to recognize the election results when the election is not even taking place yet. Sam Rainsy told RFA that Hun Sen should review whether the preparation for the election was done fairly, whether there is vote buying, and how independent is the National Election Committee? Sam Rainsy said: “A number of parties cannot be trusted, so he (Hun Sen) asked others to recognize before it (election) even takes place.” Muth Chantha, NRP spokesman, said that Hun Sen is currently boasting because the democrats are not united. Muth Chantha said that in 1993, when the CPP lost the election, Hun Sen himself threatened to lead a secession movement, and he ordered the secession to steal half of the power from the wining (Funcinpec) party.

Here again. What Hun Sen stated here is calling to all parties contest in the JUly election to recognize the election result and there's no indicate that he have forced othe parties to do so as claimed by SR.
Ah Spam Rainxy is getting more and more desperate as the election is getting closer and closer. It is not uncommon to find him spraying shit all over Cambodia around the occasion.

The one who is more desperate is not Mr. Sam Rainsy, on the contrary, the rulling party is.
Seeing more threat from the three oppossition parties against his party, Hun Sen recently has attended more and more graduation ceremonies of the local universities to throw his anger against the oppositions'critics.
He is trying to cover up the fact that his party is facing more chance of failure for the national election , because there are more opposition parties this year, which are attacking his CPP more and more strongly. Last 5 years, there was only one main opposition party, but now the opposition has grown to three in this year election.
Being lashed by the oppositions for his incompetent leadership, which causes wide-spread corruption, land grabbing, high inflation, illegal Vietnamese immigrants, forest destruction, nepotism...etc, Hun Sen has used the platform of gratuation ceremonies for his activities to fight back the oppositions.
This indicates that Hun Sen becomes more and more afraid of the strength of the democracy to overcome his dictatorial party.
As now, poeple are not so more gullible for him as before and have seen countless injustic under the leadership of the rulling CPP, Hun Sen has been seeking all means to further control Cambodia throught buying the votes from the people, buying the opposition defectors, threatening the opposition activists, making the I.D cards for Vietnamese immigrants to vote for him and by various, various means.
No matter what Hun Sen and CPP boast about the progress or development of the country under their leadership, well educated people have all seen the hypocrisy of the CPP under their leadership.
The CPP has claimed that they have brought much progress to the country from the their empty hand since year zero of 7 January 1979. But, the reality is that they have brought huge fortune to their families and associates. The people of Cambodia all know that high-ranking officials of CPP and most of their promiment members are very rich. Nowadays, the CPP is very notorious for its richness.
While the CPP members are enjoying their richness,why majority of Cambodian people are still poor and living under the line of povery? The answer is that they did not bring the prosperity to the people, but for thier own selves and families.
If you still close your eyes against the fact and honor the party that is not honest to the country like the CPP, in 100 years more, Cambodia, i dare bet, is still poor or even poorer and will see no real progress like one of the developed countries in the world.

don't say shit to Mr: Sam Rainsy like that when he win the election come up 27 July 2008 he'll work hard for own Cambodian peopls and he'll to remove A Yuon/Vietnamese more than 5 millions peoples out from Cambodia, I am believing that Mr: Sam Raingsy when he win the election he try his best look after our Cambodian peoples better than Samdech Hun Sen and Mr: Sam Raingsy he don't want the Second Yuon/Vietnamese hidden face behind the killing field again and again like 1975-1979 & from 1979-1993. from real Khmer not fuck Yuon dump.

the one who is more desparete is your Hun Xen, not Mr. Sam Rainsy. And you know why your Hun Xen is so desparate? He is, because he has been afraid that he will lose. He cannot afford to lose. If he loses he will die!
. . .oh, and if there is no threat from your Hun Xen, he will lose easily. Khmer people know that Hun Xen is a puppet of Vietnam; he has NO quality to be Khmer leader.
I COULD SEE A PERSON WHO CLAIMS PRO-CPP ADVOCATE IN THIS BLOG IS NOT CPP SUPPORTER AT ALL. IN FACT HE VERY MUCH LIKES TO EXPRESS HIS IMAGINATION AND TO CREATE OTHERS' REACTION.

You make a nice case but, unfortunately, it is way off the mark. You should talk to people in Cambodia what they think. CPP will win by landslide.
