According to officials of his party, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, NRP president who is currently living overseas, will be the first candidate for his party in Kampong Cham, in spite of the fact that he is now overseas. Muth Chantha, NRP spokesman, told RFA that the prince will present his candidacy in Kampong Cham, as the top candidate of his party. Muth Chantha also indicated that his party has already registered with the NEC, and the party presents candidates in all 25 provinces and municipalities. Muth Chantha said that the lawsuit against the prince was political, however the NRP will still hold dialogue until he can return back to Cambodia. Tep Nytha, NEC secretary-general, said that whether the prince is inside or outside the country, it is not against any rule for the election candidacy, and even if he stays there until the election, there is no problem as long as the party abides by the NEC rules.

This low-moral thing in the picture will be much worse than his dad. It's his right to jump back into the ring of politics, but he won't get anything better than he did before. From what I can see in him, he has little patriotism, enough just to fool the Sihoukists to vote for him, but he will never win anything big!

If Lon Nol overthrown the monarchy back in 1970;
Ranaridh is a prince that get the monarchy(and all the royal family members) totally sold out.

At last, You Hokry and Sao Rany fail. They want Ranariddh' candidacy in Phnom Penh and both of them will be in Kampong Cham, the place expect to get 1 or 2 seats for NRP. But Ranariddh does not agree.

oh dear, the prince couldn't stay out of politics altogether. i guess the prince has a mind of his own or something; that is kindna dangerous for cambodia to have an official with a mind of his own without regards to the law, the people's will, etc..., an elitist attitude is dangerous to cambodia as well, especially in today's cambodia or today's world for that matter.
