Members of the Khmers Kampuchea-Krom Federation, Mr. Lenny Thach, Mr. Duong Hoang and Mr. Ricky Tran have attended the Media Advisory at Cannon Terrace, Washington D.C. on June 19th 2008.
Amongst the speakers present included Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), VN caucus Co-chair, Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-CA), VN Caucus Co-chair, Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), VN Caucus -Co-chair and Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA), Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations.
During the press conference, the Representatives stressed the need to bring Democracy reforms for the Vietnamese people and all ethnic groups in Vietnam.
"Massive human rights violations perpetrated by the Government of Vietnam will not be forgotten, overlooked or trivialized. We will continue to highlight these abuses—which are ongoing today—in an attempt to offer encouragement, solidarity and hope to the victims and pressure the government to reform," said Vietnam Caucus Co-Chair Chris Smith (R-NJ) in the Media Advisory statement.
Vietnam Caucus Co-Chair Loretta Sanchez (D-CA) spoke about the need of Vietnam to improve its human rights record and to reform for Democracy for Vietnamese people and all ethnics in Vietnam which included the Khmer Krom people.
The Director of Human Rights Watch, Mrs. Sophia Richardson stated that the situation on human rights needed to be improved as many human rights and religious activists such as Khmer Krom Buddhist monks remain imprisoned.
The Director of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), Mr. Leonard added that religious freedom was deteriorating and that President Bush needed to bring these issues with Prime Minister of Vietnam.
Representatives called for US to place Vietnam back on the Country of Particular Concern list.
KKF representatives also distribute pamphlets to the distinguished representatives at the press conference and spoke about Khmer Krom issues.

We are khmer,we love each other the name of khmer Angkor.We need peace,Indepence,liberty like the world and we respect our Buddha and the law of International.
Please help Khmer Krom they are suffer enough. Khmer Krom should become independent state.
We should unite to take our provinces back from Thailand and Vietnam back. This is not too late.
From what the Thai have done, they making us Khmer coming close to each other now.

An appeal to all Khmers...
-While Khmer people never need to bear "hatre" with Vietnamese people and just want to live in peace with them...
-While Vietnamese plan is " Ho Chi Minh 's Dream,The March to the West"(Nuon Khoeun's book published in the 60 was exactly right)included the Vietnamisation of Cambodia at all cost...
-While more than 10 millions Khmer Krom living in their original territory of more that 600 squre kilometers are pushing against the wall by the Vienamese government.( No Khmer language are allowed to teach in schools, No right of practicing Bhudist religion,land grabbing, all kind of intimidation,
-While our hope for the present Phnom Penh government to care about the suffering of their own fellow compatriots is fading away day by day...
-While the other political parties seem to use the term "Kampuchea Krom" only for their personal interest power-gain in Cambodia...
- While the Khmer Krom's choices is either to let their more than 10 millions fellow compatriots living in their more than 600 square meters original tarritory be silently and shamefully vanishing from this world, or stand up together to face the Viet's plan...
...It seems like the only noble way for all Khmers who are living free from craving of personal interests and power to do something to help the Khmer Kroms in their strugle.
Please join hands together for a noble right cause with the Khmer Krom. In terms of Why, How,Where and When, Khmer Kroms know what to do, they just need our supports. In complying with the modern world way of strugle, it's 100 % non-violent according to the international law and rights of the indigenous people.
What about "$1. a day and we liberate one country " ???
The "Viet's March" is to the West, but the " Khmer Krom's March is to the east. Politically and peacefully we counter-attact the Viets from behind!
Together we can do it !!!

I am Cambodian Victim from Australia just wanting to remind US government that, do you remember US got war in Vietnam before 1976 and what game do they play with US? not use the game play with US also play with CHINA when Vietnam have war with US, wake up US government officers, or US wanting to re-make friend with Vietnam may wanting Vietnam to fight with CHINA, not easy to fight with CHINA today as I am not well education I still know what CHINA today very supper power and strong, if US to support Vietnam to get war with CHINA and I am believing that may 3rd world war come up by US make trouble everywhere, or do you want all death by US maker trouble everywhere,
