Remark: the (blue) line connecting point A, B, C, D, E is the line that party Thai additionally increase to show clearly that the temple area (red shaded area) that party Cambodia will register is in Cambodian province; there is no area that infringes on land that party Thai claims the right.

I am chocked to see this map.

Translate:

Note: Line which lies from the point ก to ข to ค to ง to จ and the end point ฉ is the line which Thai side more limit in order to make sure that the temple area (rea are) which Cambodian side will bring to register is inside the boundery of Cambodia, there is not any area that come inside the area which Thai has claimed.

That shows how stupid the French was to rob the temple from the Khmer-Thai. The map clearly suggested the the temple belong to them 100%.

Anyone know about Cambodian Thinking or reaction on Thai protest in Bangkok yesterday...

Is it real boundery which Thai has claimed?

Dear all
the blue line is not the border line, it is just a zoning for regist the Prasat Preah Vihear. The border line is so far from that blue line into thailand side and the land between the border line and blue line, they call the overlapped land, we will discus again with thailand. The court 1962, the mount of Preah Vihear is belong to cambodia , not just the land and the temple like in this map. But after 46 years, thailand make the same mistake.

khun thai

I think Cambodian government is clever on this issue. First the world will know more and reconize khmer heritages (Preah Vihear). Then Cambodia will discuss the overlap area.

Go ahead, Cambodian people and heroes...WE will win our land territory back soon. Because they got our land...they have to give back to us....

Anonymous said...

POURQUOI LE GOUVERNEMENT DE HUN SEN A DESSINE UNE NOUVELLE CARTE DE PREAH VIHEAR, LA COUR INTERNATIONAL A ENTÉRINE DES LITIGES TERRITORIAUX EN NOTRE FAVEUR.

IL FAUT QUE LE GOUVERNEMENT DE HUN SEN S'EXPLIQUE CETTE AFFAIRE DEVANT LE PEUPLE KHMER.

C'EST UNE FAUTE GRAVE DE LA PART DU GOUVERNEMENT DE HUN SEN.

I think the overlap area will be brought to UN attention by HUN SEN. Pretty soon HUN SEN will show the THAI that he is not kidding. He will smack the Thai with iron fists soon. Go doggy go!!!!!!!!!!!

Khmer people don't build much of anything on top of the montain, only Khmer-Thai and Khmer-Lao do that because they are mountain people. The French didn't know anything about the people here when they decided to rob the Khmer-Thai their temple and gave it Cambodia. It's wrong, and we must resolve it.

Thailand have taken so much from, yet they are making it difficult over 4.6 mk dispute border with Cambodia.

agree that the blue line is only for zoning purpose for the listing of unesco for preah vihear temple. yes, the overlapping area of 4.6 km2 just beyond the temple itself, although the 1962 court ruled that the 4.6 km2 overlapped area is actually belongs to cambodia, is still to be properly demarcated after the listing for the thai still claim that they disputed with the 4.6 km2 area and thinking everyone else is so dumb to see their real intention. this map clearly shows cambodia and the world that thailand is violated cambodian sovereignty, and they also violated the court ruling in 1962 saying they did not agree with the court. and the court did give them 10 years to come up with more excuses as evidence but they failed that as well and now after 46 years, they began to make again a big violation of our cambodian sovereigned territory by using the people's alliance for democracy as a shield or buffer to further confuse their own people. what a dirty trick they have up their sleeves. i say cambodia demands to always use the franco-siamese treaty of 1904 and 1907 as our guide or map of the dispute against thailand on the so-called overlapping area of 4.6 km2. cambodia, please do not yield an inch of our sacred territory to the thieve siem. we will fight them tooth and nail. god bless cambodia.

no more losing khmerland to ah siem and mee youn ever again. the other way around ought to be our national policy from now on. god bless cambodia, especially if they keep violation our sacred ancestral land of the khmer people.

oh, by the way, did you know the term cambodia was derived from our great ancestral khmer word of kampoja or in modern day khmer kampol chea or the offspring of the powerful race. meaning, like the shape of the pyramid, the very top of the pyramid is called kampol in khmer and of course, chea means the offspring in ancient khmer language. so cambodia is the offspring of the almighty race, historically that was how our nation was named after for kampol kampol meaning the peak of something, usually the very top of something. thank you.

There is no one in this world build their house with the door way face to the neighbour's land. So it's clear tha there is no 4.6km2 land belong to Thailand. Is it logic?

There is little legitimate basis on which foreigners can express an opinion on this delicate subject although the World Heritage Committee’s 2007 recognition of the Preah Vihear as being of “outstanding universal value” certainly makes the issue relevant to all.
While historically the Khmer Kingdom one time ruled all of Siam, much later Cambodia was a vassal state to the Thais who occupied large tracts of Cambodian territory. When this issues surrounding Preah Vihear are now discussed, it is rarely recognized that Cambodia’s claim would not exist had the Thais not ceded huge tracts of territory occupied by them since 1893:

Indeed, the 1962 decision by the International High Court of Justice was itself only an interpretation of decisions taken by the French-Siamese Commission of 1907 in ceding this territory.

That said, the decision appears clear enough and Thailand’s current unilateral position is not easy to understand.

The official decision stipulates:

THE COURT,
by nine votes to three,
finds that the Temple of Preah Vihear is situated in territory under the sovereignty of Cambodia;
finds in consequence,

by nine votes to three,
that Thailand is under an obligation to withdraw any military or police forces, or other guards or keepers, stationed by her at the Temple, or in its vicinity on Cambodian territory;

by seven votes to five,
that Thailand is under an obligation to restore to Cambodia any objects of the kind specified in Cambodia's fifth Submission which may, since the date of the occupation of the Temple by Thailand in 1954, have been removed from the Temple or the Temple area by the Thai authorities.
The Court did not find that Cambodian territory was limited to the immediate temple site but rather that the Temple site was situated in Cambodian territory.
In coming to its decision maps prepared by the 1907 Commission and later Cambodia played a key role:
