Prince Ranariddh (pictured), President of the Norodom Ranariddh Party has accused Prime Minister Hun Sen of masterminding his exile and of obstructing his return to participate in the national election.
In an interview with Radio Free Asia last night (11th June), the Prince said: "For me, the facts related to my case was that Prime Minister Hun Sen was behind everything that led to my exile. Everybody knows the reasons behind the charges against me, which was purely politically motivated. People only need to listen to Mr. Hun Sen's speech to know the truth. He had said about putting me on handcuff, putting me in jail, if I decided to return to Cambodia before the High Court decides my case."
The prime minister has denied on numerous occasions that he has anything to do with Prince Ranariddh's ouster from the Funcinpec Party's presidency nor has he involved in the court case against the prince by saying that it is purely his personal affairs and an internal affairs of the Funcinpec Party.

have anyone ever thought that perhaps mr. hun sen is the voice of millions of khmer citizens who are abviously did not like the fact that the royal family often ditch duty by seeking refuge overseas instead of staying in cambodia to help the impoverished and helpless cambodian people in cambodia. where are the royal family when cambodia needs them to struggle with the people in cambodia during hard time. perhaps, coward is the right word to describe the royal family. and people do have this right to express themselves of their disapproval of the royal abuse and arrogant. maybe that is the reason why many countries in the world had abolished their monarchy due to these kind of good for nothing mentality. no reform, perhaps will extinct eventually.
that said, i don't think people hate royal, they just sick and tired of their lazy, unambitious, lenient way of life. they need to be serious about helping their people and country. where is the sacrafice and allegiance for your country? perhaps come back to live in cambodia so people can respect and love and feel secure at home when their monarchy and family reside permanently in cambodia instead of overseas. i think people see that and they lose faith in the royal family. they are suppose to struggle with the people and lead by example for the people; that is why they are unpopular when they failed to do their duty as monarchy and royalty.

Ranariddh forgot that last time he and Hun Sen were behind the exil of H.E. Sam Raingsy. H.E. Samrainsy tried to pardon them for coming back into Cambodia to serve people. Now, this is Ranariddh turn. Thus, next time will be Hun Sen turn. Ranariddh should ask to joint with H.E. Sam Rainsy to exil Hun Sen.

It is Nhiek Bunchhay's breach of trust suit, under instructions from Hun Sen, which precipitated Ranariddh's exile. It's all Hun Sen's doings. i think royal mentality is the worst kind of all human. elitist, abusive, arrogant bossy etc..., how can people who are in their right mind love and respect such type of people? royal have no respect for people and country, especially if they are mad as they are very sensitive and very foul mouthed when compares to people who suffer hardship and who when true trial and turbulence in their life, whereas royal are always comfortable and never want to get out of their comfort zone. i think cambodia ought to have new policy or laws to require any potential monarchy or crowned prince or princess to go through bootcamp so they can have a feel of what or how the majority of khmer people went through. this way they too can empathize and know or understand first-hand what's it's like to starve, to suffer poverty,etc., so they too can be a good leader for cambodia. otherwise they will not learn and don't know what it's like to suffer. isn't that what buddha did when he became enlightened? buddha was a prince, who cares deeply about this people, however, not his parents and relatives, so buddha journeyed to walk in people's shoes to feel the pain and suffering, thus became well-known till this day for his crusade, like that of jesus of the western religion. god bless cambodia.
