Phnom Penh - A Cambodian man who could not decide between his current and ex-girlfriend 'regretfully' married them both at once, local media reported Monday.

Khmer-language Koh Santepheap daily featured a front-page picture of the dual ceremony with Bou Samanak, 28, flanked by beautiful brides Ly Nary, 21, and Choy Chanthu, 20 at Sunday's wedding.

'This is my unfortunate destiny,' the paper quoted Samanak as saying. 'Although I am happy to take both, my life now will be one of a lot of hard work to keep them happy.'

Although the marriage technically flouts Cambodia's bigamy law, police require a complaint to take action, and both women reportedly agreed they would not file one.

No family members of either bride attended, the paper said.

Does the Khmer laws limit on having more than two wives? He must be a good guy though.

At least he married both, and not hiding one as his mistress.

Too many Cambodian men in Cambodia married too many wives, causing a broken home to many children. This is wrong!!!

The question for him. how long this will be last??????

No, it is not unfortunate life; it's the contrary. You are blessed.

Good luck, and don't hold anything back. We want to see 8 children from each wife, okay?

One wife is already plenty of problem, and this guy have two.

Good luck my friend.

Wonder who he is going to spend the first night with. If you can't handle them both at the same time, let me know. I can teach you how, by doing a demonstration on both of them in front of you. You really need this technique otherwise, they will not be happy and will leave you.

Dear KI media

May I say that we should NOT promote any of this, or a changing culture. I understand that is their rights to choose such a wedding whether legally or culturally appropriate.

Individually and socially, it is doing more harm than good.
If we are driven so much by our emotion, we will drive ourselve away from our responsibility and morality, where Media plays such an important role in social progresses.

Thank you for your attention.

2:10, I hope you didn't meant we should promote Gays/Lesbains instead.

This kind of action should be condemned and deemed illegal by government and by the ministry of culture. We must not condone polygamy in our society which will only lead to broken families and lost kids; even the Muslims have done it. Our religion is as strict so broken families will surely the only outcome.

Stop dreaming, it's a lot better to have 10 wifes at the same time, than to have one at a time for 10 times and going through painful divorces and all like your infidel people in the west. Plus, we don't have that much money for divorce lawyers.

It was jus a wedding, but only one of these two women will get a marriage licence. May be Oun "Choy" (Chanthou) is not going to have a licence with him. Because her last name "Choy" has already yeah..

Homosexual marriage would be better. At least, there'll be monogamy. Y'all can disagree all you want about this guy (and the same-sex issue) but at least, he's willing to take care of both women openly. However, I just wonder what the two women are thinking with "sharing" a husband. Maybe, the guy has so much sperm to spare...haha! Grotesque comment? Maybe, but still, I hope he knows what he's doing...
