Forces 'raise rifles' over temple dispute

A Cambodian general says a dispute with Thailand over the area surrounding the Preah Vihear temple nearly erupted into a shootout.

The border standoff intensified Friday after both sides deployed reinforcements to the site.

The row intensified when the two sides raised their rifles at each other after the Thai soldiers moved to evict the Cambodian troops.

To avoid military action, both countries have agreed to talks in Thailand on Monday.

Thailand reiterated its intent to resolve the situation by peaceful means in a letter sent by Thai Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej in reply to Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen's letter to him on Thursday.

The dispute first began when UNESCO approved Cambodia's application for World Heritage Site status for the site.

Now You THIA country thinks you can invade Cambodia by military actions? You think you can gain support from INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY AND LEGALIZE YOUR ACTION??? I suggest you ask them all and from the most powerful organization that is THE UN. To avoid further tension and possilbly-erupted arm-conflict, I suggest the UN as well as the involved super-power countries to intervene and warn THAILAND that their military-carried out actions by what-ever reasons over CAMBODIA WILL BE OUTLAWED BY THE INTERNATIONAL LAW AND THEY WILL BE ENTITLED TO PAY ALL THE COST OF WAR TO CAMBODIA, AND NOT BY ANY REASONS CAN LEGALIZE THEIR ACTIONS TO CLAIM THE TEMPLE. PLAY BY THE RULES AND PLAY FAIR, THIALAND!

Khmer & Thai soldiers eat breakfast together!
I don't think they wish to kill each others.
Local people from both sides are relatives. I feels sad if they will get kiiled.

Both Governments must solve the problem in peaceful way.
