Cambodian workers crossing into Thailand illegally for work have met increased Thai police patrols, as a tense military standoff between the two countries continues.
More Thai border police have been deployed along the border and have detained migrants who attempt to cross for work, provincial officials said.
Thousands of Cambodians cross into Thailand to work each day as farmers informal checkpoints along the border, returning to their Cambodian homes in the evening.
On Wednesday, five workers crossing in O'Chrov district, Bantaey Meanchey province, were detained by Thai border police for 20 hours before being released to Cambodia.

this won't help thailand's negotiation with cambodia as it is a sign of increasing thai's hostility toward khmer people who otherwise did nothing wrong but to go about their daily livelihood like they did for ages already.
i wonder, sometime, thailand just don't think before they do something. it goes to say a lot about them of how cruel, how insensitive to humanitarian sake or how egotistical and arrogant they really are with cambodia. and this gain nothing for them except what goes around comes around.
Yeah, but you will not get any red carpet treatment until you return the temple back to Khmer People in Issan Province.
Siam if something happens to them will make sure that Cambodia will not be safe for your workers either.
Don't rejoice to quickly the standoff is not over yet.
There will not be any Thai worker for you to abuse. They will all be pull out.
