Accompanied by her two children, the wife of Khim Sambo, the opposition journalist who was killed alongside his son during the election campaign last July, left the country two weeks ago. The news was revealed by Chan Soveth, an investigator for Licadho. This departure was organized following the intervention made by three human rights organizations: Adhoc, Licadho and the UNHCR office in Cambodia.
Chan Soveth indicated also that other witnesses of the crime are now in hiding for security measure. According to Chan Soveth, the main reason which motivated this departure is because “the family has no confidence in the police because, up to now, the killers have not been arrested yet.” The current destination of the family is held in secret.
Touch Naroth, the Phnom Penh police commissioner, said that this situation will not help the case. He recognized that this departure will “create an obstacle to the investigation, but this will not prevent the FBI and the Cambodian police to pursue the search.”
Touch Naroth dismissed the declarations made by human rights organizations reagrding the lack of confidence in the police. “These associations say nonsense, if the family has no confidence in the police, who can they have confidence on?” Touch Naroth asked.
Following its initial focus on Khim Sambo himself, the investigations are now focused on his son. “The FBI and us agree on this point,” Touch Naroth claimed. Why the focus on the son? Because according to a hospital report, one of the doctors who took care of him when he arrived at the emergency room, heard him whispering that he was killed because of a “grudge.”

Touch Naroth how many murder case have you solved ?. The unswer is nothing. That is why the family of the victim leaving cambodia. They don't trust your piece of shit police work. If in other country than cambodia you should have been fired long time ago.

Naroth is only a newly set up Ting Mong only. He has limited knowledge about his field and politic. He is not permited to carry out any fact finding on this case, because this is a political killing. He is not Hun sen's man. He will be replaced soon after a significant mistake was made.
Municipal commander is not an easy position, it is tough job, although some fortune can be made while being in this level. Anyone who sit there was often seen by the oppositions as a culprit when they were blind, and became a scapegoat for the masters when they are starting to see the real.
Time already told that there's no karma no justice if you are a hero you are Dead meat!

I can't agree more. And these factors actively and practically contribute to the miseries happening in Cambodia:
- First the leaders'national conscience: It is my poor estimation that coz the current leaders have undergone in Pol Pot regime and strived to bring the country to its feet that why the current leaders feel little sympathy for their people. The current leaders still in their mind believe that the country owed they something, more than miseries of the people confronting, but to pay the leaders the tribute. The leaders believe that the people owed them great and thus the they are in appropriate position to hold on tight to their power. This is one scenario explaining WHY THE PEOPLE DESERVE THE MISERIES NOWADAY.
-Second factor is ,from my ignorance, the capability as an individual and a leader. You can look at Singapore or US that the leaders in this country CANNOT just talk nonsense with slow response to the crisis. The last resort for these high responsible, well-respected when failing to deal with the crisis IS: STEPPING DOWN. TAKE JAPANESE PRIMIER RECENTLY AS AN EXAMPLE. BUT look at khmer leaders: they ever received formal education suitable to FIT THEMSELVES IN THIS DEMOCRACY DEVELOPMENT AND SEVERE GLOBAL COMPETITION. So no doubt they embrace only "so-called well-said politicians yet cannot do a damn thing" and these leaders has no SHAME deliberately put these well-said-cannot do anything-on board. This explains to the DEFICIENCY IN GOVERNMENT PUBLIC WORK SECTOR that because of these low, un-educated leaders, the people with conscience and expertise CANNOT DO THEIR WORK PROPERLY or the system DOES NOT EVEN use them "COS THESE WELL-EDUCATED PEOPLE WILL CAUSE HARMS TO THE DESIGNED CORRUPTING SYSTEM OR COS THE COUNTRY CAN PROGRESS SO FAST THAT THESE NAIVE LEADERS CANNOT CONTROL ANYMORE". This is another scenario reflects the miseries in Cambodia.

I can be convinced that Rainsy is more consciencenss than Hun Sen, But i don't believe that he has the right capability to manage Cambodia. This lawless country can not be ruled with soft hand manner. How Mr Riansy going to set a convinceable policy of controlling those Gansters that are already rulling the country now? He himself even has no suffic experience to manage his party under such strong suppression from the outside threats, The same threats will work in the same principles if he ruled the country. However, he now get better unerstanding of the tactics to counter balance with this situation. He is get used to environment gradually now, He still have the potential to succeed.
