well, cambodia is a constitutional monarchy, meaning the king does not have absolute power like in the olden days. even, his majesty has to respect the constitution of cambodia. god bless cambodia.

According to several meetings with Royalist families here and abroad, they have met so many difficulties after the coup in 1970.

Life oversea is so hard for them. And now some come back to work several companies and they have been friendly to ordinary people.

They are not really so happy with CPP, but what should they do for the time being?

I am not a fan of profanity, but 12:47 PM is partially right. This King is a robot; he should be more vocal and active on several non-political issues such as land grabbing and etc., which he's reluctant. Reality is he does not wanted to be king, he father involved him to. I hope the next leader will abolish the monarchy and declare Cambodia a public state. We need western-educated leadership to govern our country. Khmer are artistic and intelligence race, we don't deserve to live like this. Khmer must stop mocking each other, but compromise our differences thru social and fruitful debate. Other than hope, love and solidarity are our last instruments for our future existence as KHMER.
Love my motherland.

Sacrava is right. No mater how ridiculous the King is, the oppositions still pray to his ass.

Even though some royalists made some mistakes, how can we exclude them from politic?

Sisowat had about 40 registered wives and 300 concubines. Norodom also had 36 registered wives and hundred concumbines. King Monivong has 200 concumbines. Soramarith has 20.
Sons and grandsons of Sisowat and Norodom have about 5 to 10 registered wives.
Daughter and grand daughters of Sisowat and Norodom have about 3 to 4 husbands.

In conclusion, there are more than 2,000 royal family members.

They are not going to give up easily.
