The SRP elected representatives want to take oath separately

Sam Rainsy informed the King of his choice. In case of refusal he claims to be ready to go to the Royal Palace.

On the 2nd of September, the day before travelling to Europe, Sam Rainsy sent a letter to Norodom Sihamoni. In this correspondence the opposition leader informs the monarch that, on the 24th of September, his 26 delegates will refuse to take oath at the same time as the CPP elected representatives.

A decision which aims at disputing “the violation of the people’s rights to vote”, as well as the numerous “election frauds”.

The SRP elected representatives thus want to take oath on the day after the parliamentary opening session. In case the King refuses, “we’ll go to a sacred place in front of the Royal Palace”, said the SRP leader.

By accepting to take oath on the 25 September 2008 is to recognize the results of election so far then why bother to engineer the "Play Safe Game".

1] Lobby the international community particular those who are signatories of the 1991 Paris Peace Accords, is a prime and utmost motive for both Mr. Rainsy and Sokha's trip to Europe and USA, who are obliged under the agreement to assist Cambodia in election process and ensure that it shall be free and fair.

2] Mr. Sam Rainsy is well aware that his crusade would be an uphill battle due to the fact that EU has stated all along that election is failed short of key international standards and it's up to Cambodians whether or not to accept the results.

3] Mr. Sam Rainsy letter to HRH King Norodom Sihamoni is just to be on safe side than sorry should the crusade mission fail.

4] If His Majesty agreed upon Mr. Sam Rainsy's request [take oath the day after National Assembly's 1st session] then he has something to fall onto.

Politic shall not be about safe side than sorry

I know that we (SRP) are in difficult situation. Although, CPP should appreciate us. H.E Sam Rainsy help Hun Sen to destroy Funcinpec by 50%+1 amendment. Otherwise, how can CPP win in such 90 seats like this. Most seats are from Funcinpec. As a Buddism, Hun Sen should understand about this matter and don't make us to fall in this very difficult condition..

any leader who want a separate or succession or whatever is never a good leader. a leader who wants unity and cooperation etc, is the one who really looks after cambodia, not the other way around.

Anti-Thai won the election, anti-Vietnam got just 26 seats.

Thailand at least give 200,000 jobs to hopeless poor Cambodians and invest more money.

Vietnam only feed around 2,000 Cambodian beggers only. Communist Country control people very seriously. They can come in cambodia, but we are difficult to get in their country.

Is that the way of thinking about Cambodian politicians?

If you are a winner, winner for 40 years!
Why our brains have so difficulty to accept Democracy? Why abusing power is our habit?

The history will remember you all!

Anyway, finally, the arrogant Royalists now learn some lessons that they need to work harder!

The election is over. The result is official. It's time for everyone to go back to work.

What makes Sam Rainsy so special to take oath on the day after the parliamentary opening session? His silver spoon is tarnished but he wants golden spoon from the king. If he can not get it, he'll use his behind at a sacred place. The king will smack his behind hard with a golden whip and tell him to go to work or be sacred.
