Cambodian soldiers turned back 20 Thai soldiers who had crossed into Cambodian territory in Oddar Meanchey province Wednesday, a military official said.
The Thai soldiers were found near a waterfall about 1.5 kilometers from the Ta Moan temple complex, which has become a second point of contention in an ongoing border dispute, said Col. Nak Vong, deputy commander of Regiment 42, which is stationed in the area.
The soldiers encountered each other at around 10 am, and no shots were fired. The encounter occurred following a brief gunfight at Preah Vihear temple on Friday and the injuries by landmine of two Thai soldiers on Phnom Trop, near Preah Vihear temple, on Monday.
Oddar Meanchey Governor Pich Sokhen said the encounter was a "simple problem," and many similar incidents had occurred since a build-up of troops began July 15.
Cambodia and Thailand have been unable to solve a military build-up that began following Preah Vihear temple's inscription on a Unesco World Heritage protection list July 7.
Prime Minister Hun Sen and Thai Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat are still expected to meet Oct. 13, despite a Thai political crisis that devolved into violence in Bangkok Tuesday.

Thai action is an invasion into Cambodian territory.
Thais used the same tectincs as they did to us during the Burma-Thai War when Khmer king sent his brother and Khmer troops to help them under the alliance agreement. Now, they use "negotiations and invade", nothing is different. Khmers need to watch out very carefully. NEVER let them in even a meter.
Damn, not another one. Thai is playing with khmer. I wonder if we shoot to kill, like they to do some khmer folks who go find fire woods.
When talking Thai add more army on the border.
Now Cambodian Gov. can't handle in this situation because we have poor army and old weapons.
There is only one way to win in this problem is to go to UN and International to get help.
Khmers should declare war long time ago since day one after July 17. But why the gov.t didnt? Negotiation? What the result?
If the gov.t still drags on in the negotiation game, Siam will play out-number game of soldiers and by that time the gov.t will only sit and watch the siam eating up piece by piece of Cambodia land.

I don't think the THai can handle the landmines. They are very scare now.

Now, the Khmer troops will launch the invasion into Siem land to claim their country back, and, of course, Bang Cock, too.
Thai troop will launch the invasion and go back to Bangkock with one leg!
