I admire your artistic talent. But I do not comprehend why such talent is devoted to tanishing rather than polishing the country image. Please use your artistic works to inspire our younger generation and show the world something that all Khmers ould be proud of.
Sacravatoon - Are you proud of your work? Imagine if every Khmer behaves like you. Cambodia would be gone a long time ago. If you don’t want to contibute to the country, that’s fine, but please don’t destroy other people efforts.

I hope this publication is purely an error of judgement rather than the intention to digrace the coutry image. People do make mistakes. But like 9:39PM said, next time please draw something that can make us all proud of our nation. I am sure you’ll find something positive, kind and gentle about Cambodia. She has quite a few things to offer…

It does not matter what I want to see – a kind and gentle or a negative image of Cambodia. I grew up in Cambodia and I already know enough about our country. What matter is how a foreigner, that knows nothing about our country, thinks of our country when he or she sees a “troubling” picture of Cambodia. With this kind of picture advertized in a reputable magazine, which country do you think Western tourists want to visit, Thailand or Cambodia?

Ung Bun Heang, your cartoons from the time they featured in Nokor Thom from 1969 to 1974 are ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. They breathed innovation into Khmer journalism in those days. Even Koh Santephap imitated your (Nokor Thom's) weekend format (with the work of illustrator-turned cartoonist Saing Hel) but they just can't beat the originality you have shown. Lon Nol, Sirimatak, Sihanouk were all lampooned in equal measures.. You are one of the few major living contributors to Khmer cultural life this past 40 years. These days, i would expect young educated khmer readers to be open to political views and ideas even if these don't fit their world view. Now why do some of them expect you to tickle their fancy and conform to their agendas all the time, is really beyond me. Also, i trust you'll ignore those cowards who hide behind the anonymity of the internet to post obscenities. They are simply a disgrace to Khmer youth.

bring Cambodia into super poverty. Only Funcinpec
and their coalitions have saved Cambodia from the
disaster with the Treaty of Paris.

Mr Bun H. Ung. But sometimes, we put it in the right context. It were published in 2000.
At that time, our country has a balance
power between Funcinpec and CPP. And SRP
