Mr. Ros Chantraboth, vice-president of the Royal Cambodian Academy, said in a seminar in Phnom Penh on Tuesday that the Veal Entry area is located inside Khmer territory and is an important route to Preah Vihear temple, so he thinks that Thailand will not easily allow Cambodia to build roads along this stretch of lands to connect to Preah Vihear temple. He said that Thailand will use all pretexts to cause disputes with Cambodia in order to obstruct the construction of this important route.
Mr. Ros said that the reasons of his claims were based on his observations that since Thailand sent its troops to occupy the Khmer territories Thailand has always claimed that the Veal Entry areas belong to Thailand. He added that, in every negotiation, Thailand has never abided by the agreements.
Regarding the maps, Mr Ros said that Cambodia has consistently used only one map, and that is the internationally-recognised map, which Thailand has also recognised and which was a map that Cambodia has used successfully in the 19962 court case which seen the return of the Preah Vihear temple to Cambodia.
He added that, the problem in the negotiation is that Thailand has used a map unilaterally drawn by Thailand for the negotiations.
He added that, in hindsight, Cambodia was under the influence or the pressures of the Cold War because Thailand has allied itself with the South East Asian Treaty Organisation (SEATO) led by America. Cambodia was not aligned and was neutral and Thailand has used American influence to produce new maps which has caused the problems in the Preah Vihear areas until today.//

Who the fuck is Thailand to tell Cambodia what to do on her soil ??!! Let's go to Veal Entry and if they have a problem lace them with bullets instead of words because talking with these ignorant sons of bitches will not get anything done. Royal Government of Cambodia must let the UN know that Thailand has actually encroached on Cambodia's territory along its 800km2 border.
1. Even in Poipet the Yahoo, Wikipedia map shows the boundary way inside Cambodia by 300 meters. The border between the two countries is actually at the bridge of O'Chrov or "Khlong Leuk" in Thai. Now according to Yahoo and Wikipedia maps, the location of the Cambodia-Thailand boundary line shows that the Angkor Wat entry gate of Poipet is in Thailand if you zoom in Yahoo or Wikipedia map!
2. Thailand claims that 4.6km2 is disputed territory yet on Yahoo and Wikipedia maps, it shows that this area is in Thai territory!
The RGC must bring this matter to the attention of the UN and all institutions that make maps worldwide to adhere to maps internationally recognised, not according to maps "UNILATERRALLY" drawn by Thailand. We must correct this matter as soon as possible before it is too late.

First of all the title of this subject must be altered. According to this article, there is no sentence idicated that thai officially stated " Thailand won’t allow Cambodia to build roads leading to Preah Vihear temple". This is only an assumption Mr. Ros has concluded.
Second, Mr. Ros should has not made such assumption publicly. Mr. Ros's statement is only help Thailand strategy not Cambodia. He puts the words in Thailand mouth. Thailand sees an oppurtunity, then proceed.

Thailand didn't say anything so far and what Mr Ros said was giving some ideas and Thailand will take an opportunity to block future road-building. If and when Thailand physically block the road-building, the Khmer army must be firm and ready to defend our territories.
Was our army not victorious in the 15 October "life and death" battle to recapture Veal Entry area? If it has reoccupied the area since then, nobody can prevent the construction of thre access road to Preah Vihear temple.
