Thai democrazy is not a model for the world and certainly not for Cambodia. Coup is their democratic model. We must respect the rule of game for elected leader(s); however, it must be free and fair.

i know, we all can see that. thus, it is important to keep or treat everyone as an individual not as a group, please, because if one person did something wrong or something, it should only be that individual to blame or take responsibility for his/her own action, and nobody else should bear the blunt for someone's else action, unless there is concrete evidence that the group is involved. this is a good mentality to adopt as cambodia is moving into a new way of thinking and doing business, unlike the old ways. god bless cambodia.
To me, SRP has no integrity and is more corrupted than those it is accusing. SRP only looks after its own interests and say nice things to get elected. I am always suspicious about SRP desire to obey and please Thailand. This letter of congratulation is a good indication. Why would Mr. Rainsy send such a letter to Abhisit, a Thai nationalist who has no respect for Cambodia sovereignty? Have anyone heard Mr. Rainsy or his party condemning Thailand for repeatedly encroaching Cambodia territory? He and his party don’t care about the country. They always complaint about losing the election, but never care about losing our land to Thailand.

i way i see it is that SRP party people are not much different from the pad/abishit people in thailand, perhaps only in a smaller scale. they are consisted mostly of elitist people who had escaped cambodia during the hardship period or civil war period and its aftermath in cambodia, and who wanted to come back by claiming to want to make cambodia a better place or system of gov't. while that is good and all that, however, they tend to be very one-sided in their view, and they perhaps, have no hardship experience or survival mentality like the majority of cambodian people party who, often mentioned that they are the one to endure hardship and fight to survive, thus at least work with them or give them proper credit for their hardcore survival mentality. but not, the SRP and its members just wanted to storm in and take over without regard to the people who lived there all through thick and thin. you see, we all have to understand both sides of the story or both views before by observation, and by using critical thinking before we blindly take any one side. i think striking the balance approach is better than being an obnoxious rogue or something along that line. thank you ang god bless cambodia.

You definitely don’t act like someone with a degree from France. It is ridiculous from your part to praise Abhisit for his commitment to uphold democratic principles. Do you know that Abhisit and his group are advocating or lobbying for a parliamentary system whereby all MPs are appointed by a bunch of privilege, rich and elite class rather than elected by the general population. You call that democracy? Is that your idea of democracy you have in mind for Cambodia, as well? You don't deserve to get elected.
The only hope for cambodia now is someone inside the ranks of the CPP who will take a stand on doing things right. You cannot take on the CPP machine head on. You need to infiltrate it, divide then conquer.

I have no particularly sympathy for rainsy for the reasons which I may reserved here but to be fair and honest, the yuon slave party cpp would never have a chance to beat up rainsy party if the vote is doing in fair and democratic conditions as in any free society. Beside intimidation and threat to life of all kind against those who oppose to the khmer rouge yuon slave party (cpp) and its total control over medias, there exist another unsuspected electoral fraud used by cpp which a technical borrow from Israelis called “magic carte”. With this carte, no matter who people voted, the name of those they vote will disappear two or three hours later to be replaced by the one that the fraud is distinated to, for example, even people vote for rainsy or kem sokha, the name of these people will disappear to be replaced by hun sen name. This kind of fraud would not possible to be used in free society like Europe or USA but of course with miserable and underdeveloped countries ruled by criminals or dictators like Cambodia
Regard to thaksin vote, I believe thaksin may not use the same method as hun sen (propaganda of worse dictatorial regime, threat to life and intimidations) but I don’t think it is fair either because thaskin bought vote and who say he didn’t use Israelite ‘magic cart’ as the yuon slave party, cpp, did. And I don’t believe that border crossed with Cambodia is oeuvre of Abhisit Vejjajiva but that of thaksin and hun sen. Hope that Abhisit Vejjajiva will be enough wise and fair to consider cultural and historical bind between Khmer and thai, clean his society and cooperate with the right person.

I think Mr Sam Rainsy has done his good job as a leader of a party. Each country needs to have friends and good neighbours. We cannot be ennemy to our neighbour at all the time. Cambodia is not a lone to have been invaded by her Neighbour such as Thailand and Vietnam. China has also been invaded by Mongol, Tibet and Manchury. Poland has been invaded by Russia and German. We can always blame Khmer people who cant handle PM seat to rainsy but face to yuons and cpp, I believe Khmer people have so little material and poor brain power to face yuons and cpp regime. Yuons/cpp control all, medias, economics, social and politics and average Khmer people left with nothing in hands, cant even have enough to eat and keep their basic human dignity.
