PHNOM PENH, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Sam Rainsy Party (SRP) and Human Rights Party (HRP), which are two main opposition parties in the Cambodian National Assembly, agreed Thursday in principle to establish a political alliance called the Democratic Movement of Change (DMC) for the upcoming elections.

The DMC is a new political force to lead and advance the country to have prosperity, according to the joint statement issued by both parties.

The upcoming elections include the 2012 commune council election and the 2013 general election.

"Our candidates will be registered to represent only one party in polling constituency," SRP president Sam Rainsy and HRP president Kem Sokha told reporters at a press conference.

"We will walk on the non-violent and legal strategies for political actions," Sam Rainsy said, adding that the movement does not oppose any individual or parties.

Meanwhile, Khem Sokha appealed to intellectuals and democratic supporters to join the DMC for upcoming elections.

In last year's general election, the SRP won 26 seats and HRP won three seats in all the 123 seats in the National Assembly.

There should have beleadership training to build up stenght in each individual party in order to maintain and sustain the intended Movement.
Leadership Training in all levels.
There are two prongs of leadership: political leadership and spiritual leadership. One without another, no achievemnt will be done.
Cambodian is cruelly lacking of spiritual leadership since centuries.
Spiritual leadership will srenghten and sustain political leadership.
Without it, catastrophic results are bound to happen in any country and with any political parties.
For the sake of our Cambodian people life, please please please Learn the lesson from our pasts, the pasts, far and near.

No slight,to counter the darkened history of 7 January, why don't the oppositions use the date as its inaugural founding day for DMC instead?
TKO point for the match?

remember, gaining higher seats in parliament and votes is the aim and a sign of improvement as well. but it's a start, although gaining trust and winning might take more time to heal or adjust. please be patient and perseverant are some of the keys to success. good luck and god bless.

yes, opponent is for competing, opposing is something else totally. i mean, they can't be opposing on everything the cpp part is doing for cambodia because not everything they do is bad for cambodia. in fact, there are overwhelming evidence that they help to make a huge difference for cambodia and our people. so, it's time to drop the word "opposition", and i'm sure glad they are just now beginning to do just that. good luck and god bless.

The one-eye gangster Viet puppet Hun Sen regime in Phnom Penh does not care about Khmer.

Ah Hun Sen will let all those Khmers left over from the Killing Fields die systematically while moving the Viet populace in, assisting them and caring for them as per the secret agreements and treaties ah Hun Sen had signed with the Viet.

So please don't talk about the future of Khmer and Khmer's children anymore. There will not be native Khmers left to care for or to worry about anymore. Look at what the life expectancy of all of those Khmers in the country now - Anybody knows?

In the end, there will be just Viet in Cambodia and maybe a very few Khmer left over but vietnamized from head to toe....

Look around in Phnom Penh now...and tell me what you see...

If all of you SOB want to help Cambodia, you'd better do it and do it pretty soon...or you will have nothing left to save at all...

Hope all of you SOB gets this message!!!
