Siem Reap just acquires a third golf course. A Korean company has invested in this ambitious project.

The South Korean KTC company invested $450 million in this sport complex which includes a golf course, horse riding field and hotels. The project occupies a 200-hectare lot and it should generate 4,000 jobs from now until 2011, an official from the company indicated.

The president of the KTC company indicated that, in January 2010, a women international golf tournament would be organized in this golf course, with worldwide TV broadcast planned. He also underscored his company’s ambition to turn this golf course into a world famous one. “We are taking all the necessary efforts to put it among the top 10 golf courses in the world,” he promised.

Hun Sen, who is also an avid golf player and who was present during the inauguration held on 19 January, stressed the positive aspects of this new sport complex: “This inauguration reflects on one hand the growth of investments in Cambodia, and on the other hand, the development of sport in the country,” Hun Sen launched.

I am not a Golf player, but high respect to the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

For the long term the education of young generation to serve and to lead the country as good citizenship are very important. Under your Leadership, I am sure Mr. PM, you are the one, who are very serious and able to achieve this point.

KI must be a golf fanatic; otherwise, there would be a vicious remark on this one.

3:58PM,

I'm flattered by your comments. I'll allow you to continue grabbing land from the silly poor.

You know who I am.

Only the chosen elite that lead Cambodia not the next young generation who think that working for the people and benefit the people is a priority for a wealthy nation.
