Thai media reported on the 9th of January that Thai PM, Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva (pictured), has said that Thailand is ready to talk with PM Hun Sen about the Preah Vihear issues. He said that the negotiations methods have already been put in place and the frameworks of the negotiations that the parliament has ratified are still in the hands of the Khmer-Thai Boundary Commission and the agreements have not been passed to the parliament for approval yet.
PM Abhisit reinterated his position regarding the Preah Vihear issues by saying that his position remained the same as when he was the leader of the opposition party, that is to respect the decision of the International Court of Justice which adjudicated to give ownership of the temple to Cambodia. He said that border issues will be negotiated by using the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2000 as a base.
Mr. Abhisit made this statement in fronts of many officials who were involved with the border issues in the past that when he was the leader of the opposition party he had put forward a proposal to remove only the foreign minister from his post, but other MPs had put forward a proposal to remove the whole of the government cabinet. So the proposals were passed on to the Defence and Anti-corruption Commission for investigation on other cabinet ministers and seek their removals if they are found to be involved (in the corruption regarding the Preah Vihear issues).

negotiate for what?..will khmer negotiate with the theft- the land stealer?..if khmer still negotiate with the crimminal..they must be idiot.
I urge KI to find out what MOU of the 2000 means between Cambodia and Thailand and who are the responsible parties to which this MOU is based upon. We, the People must know and understand what have been said within that MOU before taking side. Why did Mr. Abhisit incessantly on the based of the MOU of the 2000? There has to be a stipulaitons to which Cambodia and Thailand agreed upon and if there were such languages being used within the agreement, thus would placed Cambodia in a hardship.
We, the Cambodian People must have access to the understanding of the MOU of the 2000. In my opinion I just dont believe that Cambodian government is that naive to be in such a position prior to signing any document pertaining to such controversial pieces of our historical sites. However, whatever the case may be, the ruling of the 1962 at the International Court of Justice ought to deny any rights of Thailand to fight or argue within the Court of Law. In addition, there is no appellete court at the ICJ. So, Thailand must revere and respect those decisions from the highest court of the world if Thailand claimed to be a democratic country which respects rule of law.
I thank you.

I heard that current cambodia government don't want to uses historical maps and the 1962 court decision due to the effect involving vietname and the land of khmer that vietnam took over.
So, Preah Vihear issue right now is in way is a good thing. For this case will bring about issue ivolving lands belonging to cambodia and the respect of international ruling and true ownership.
If khmer people all around demand and protest for UN, paris, and world attention. Good result can come about.
Will khmer leader get khmer to unite and enforces this demand for true respect and ownership? We all should. We can't afford to let the thai and youn getting their ways. If so, khmer will have no face left.
8:02am, the 2000 mou states that any border negotiations must be based on the 1904-1907 khmer-siam treaty and the 1962 IJC verdict. the 1904-1907 maps put the areas around preah vihear claimed by thailand in cambodia.
Cambodia must study MOU carefully. MOU is not a treaty, thus, it can supersede the treaty. ANY agreement can be annulled, that same they revoked their support for Cambodia, if it found to be not according to the treaty of 1904. Cambodia must fiercely and smartly fight for Preah Vihear. The world community is on our side.
correction - should read: can't supersede the treaty.
The temple belongs to Khmer on the mountain. Ah monkey from Cambodia must stay out of it or be in one of the mass graves soon.
3:48 you one monkey you fag fuck dumb thia.....khmer wannabe modafucker...............shut yo ass up ah thai monkey....STUPID FUCK............THAILAND BELONGS TO CAMBODIA

Is Siam fucking naive not to know the map internationally recognized? And why ah Siam dare not mess with Burma?
What are hidden agendas between Khme gov.t and Siam gov.t?

Wait untill Hun Sen getting old and out from the power than we can talk shit about Viet.
Another 10 or 20 years Mr. Sen Hun will change his mind to against the Viet.
The TAI has beautiful face but the blood full of venom please do not say yes to the TAI,do what they did to Cambodia from the past to now.
How on Earth AH Abhisit turns the violation of Cambodian sovereignty into corruption issue?
There is nothing to negotiate and what AH Abhisit is trying to do is to hold Cambodia hostage again!
Only a fucken terrorist would hold Cambodia hostage! Cambodia doesn't deal with a fucken terrorist!
Again, there is no comprised on the issue of Khmer Preah Vihear temple!
No deal with Thai ,Preah Vihear are owned by khmer and the world heriage,
