On the 12th of January at an Asia Foundation sponsored event entitled “America’s Role in Asia” the Chargè d’affaires spoke to a packed house at the Le Royal hotel in Phnom Penh on the many ways the U.S. is engaged with the Royal Government of Cambodia. In her remarks she noted that while we are welcoming a new President, Secretary of State and U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia, both the level of our engagement and the general direction of our efforts are not likely to change. She hypothesized that this was mainly due to the enormity of the issues that Cambodia faces such as poverty, weak rule of law and poor health – all of which require stable, long term solutions. She also listed the long term goals that the U.S. has which are “to see a country which is domestically stable and able to secure its borders; where government is democratic and just; where the government joins coordinated donors investing in the Cambodian people to improve health and education standards; and where a healthy economy raises more people out of poverty and provides an opportunity for business”. The Chargè concluded by concurring with the Foundation’s hope that the new US administration accords Asia the attention that its intrinsic importance to the US demands.

it goes to say that people can really see what's going on in cambodia for themselves without some sort of opponent political party telling them what cambodia is or is not! common, cambodia is not that bad. over the past 10 or 20 years, a lot of things have changed in cambodia, and yes people can see that for themselves. what's going here on this blog is just politics and more politics. maybe this group should get an education on how to get along with others for a change, instead of staging bitter, hates, jealousy, envy, pessimistic, cynical view narrow-minded, unwilling to change, etc, etc... common, get with the program. of course, every cares about democracy, that's what set people free and what gives people freedom, etc...; however, this group of politicians should be smarter and cleverer to know when enough is enough as though cambodia was still in the dark age or under communism forever or something! that was the past already; people, country, politics, economy, living standard, etc, had changed for the better. again, please be patient, everything takes times, even a fruit tree will take time to mature before it can bear fruits. all political parties are allowed and encouraged to participate in the election, what else do you want? please learn to accept loses as in lost in the election and go on with business as usual until the next election; and stop crying and crying. if you lost the election you lost, be responsible and take it for what it is. i think it's all about envy, jealousy, contempt, etc... in short, it's all about politicians and their dirty attitude! image the independent party in the USA lost and continue to make trouble for america! i'm sure people will react the same there like in cambodia! god bless cambodia.
It goes so far as to say that 2:49 AM individual hasn't the foggiest idea as to what politics is all about...Go figure, Damn amateur!
It 's ok when the regime greed you . Don't worry about the other people. That what the fucking guy talk about at 2:49AM
It's alright 2:49am when these individuals on KI blog has a good left brain. When it's can not function with right brain these individuals want people of Cambodia to suffer. They think that all people in Cambodia are amateur but they are worst.
Go figure KI what ever you say it wouldn't matter. What matter is as long as international community support Cambodia then is fine.
KI Media,
Maybe the oppositions have convinced the US that they are not worthy of support. That is why the US has to do what they can with the crooks.
Kuoy Pichet
Or maybe the US and Cambodia have a lot in common.
Shouldn't you say good bye to KI-Media at about now, 2:49 AM? Or is it that KI-Media just makes you want to come back for more...ROFL!
Yeap...KI-Media is very very addicted...And that may be a good thing....Damn!!!
7:29 AM
Maybe people come back to laugh at the ridiculous dreams and lies KI work hard everyday to feed to the people of their like mind? lol
KI brings NO real sensitive information from Cambodia as it is advertised. Want proof? Where is the down-lows related to Sam Rainsy? Is Sam Rainsy that great of a human being that he has not done anything to be critical of? As human nature has told, everyone is not perfect. By choosing to only criticize one side, KI is a pure text book definition of propaganda biased on behalf of Sam Rainsy.
I just don't want to waste my time on things like this but if I wanted, I can debunk KI as Sam Rainsy's sympathizer very easily. How? When you lie, there is a hole in your information and it doesn't take Einstein to spot it.
Evidentially, you've proved my point 8:20 AM. You cannot and you will not leave KI-Media anytime soon... LOL!
8:37 AM
Why leave a place where you can go to for a good laugh? lol and you can't leave me alone, can you? Stop coming onto dudes on the internet already, nutschaser.
And just as we've suspected, 8:51 AM - you're just an amateur and a nutcase...Need we say more?...ROFL!
8:59am if 8:51 just an amateur/nutcase then you're a joker and a lier that is why he comes back to proof it that you can make him laugh with your lies.
8:59 AM
Yes, I am a nutcase but I can admit who I am. As for you, why don't you come out of that closet already? It's okay if you like to put penises in your mouth. You live in a free country to be openly gay, you know.
Why, you spent time to attack each other. Please use your brain and give a constructive comment.
Yeah, but Ah Loser (Heng Soy) attacking us first. You don't expect business as usual after that, do ya?
Nope, this leech troller Ph.D at 3:55 PM had been sucking blood here on KI-Media since day one.
Please don't waste time with Hanoi parasites...
There certainly has been a policy change by the US towards the RGC. After the fighting in 97, the US stopped making any direct contributions, and that continued until about 03 when there was some direct funding of the Ministry of Health for certain programs i.e. HIV/Aids, TB. Since then it appears that the US started donating equipment to the military and now we see actual military advisors. My guess is these changes took place because Cambodia deserved great credit for a couple of high profile arrests e.g. the terrorist from the Bali bombing, and the major drug lord that was hiding in Cambodia.
This is the time of change,Not the time of pointing finger to each other.I believe in the Kingdom of Cambodia need only two major political party.
1.Democratic party-CPP
2.Republican party-UNKNOWN WHO?
