Cambodian Action Committee for Justice & Equity (CACJE) expressed strong supports the position of Mr. KA SAVUTH, the co-defense attorney of Mr. KAING GUEK EAV alias Duch, ex-Director of TUOL SLENG Prison and the position of Co-Prosecutor against the use of a film documenting torture shot by Vietnamese soldiers shortly after they drove the Khmer Rouge from power in 1979 as evidence before the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC). The document film served Hanoi political purpose. The orphan witness claiming living inside TUOL SLENG Prison raised more questions than answers.
Moreover, CACJE expressed displeasure relative to the declaration of CHHANG YOUK, Director of Cambodia Documentation Centre (DC-CAM) which is an organization financed by the American tax- payers. CHHANG YOUK had shown his no-professionalism, not independent, lack of deep understanding of the documentation, not be able to produce trustful documents and witnesses for the ECCC. Instead DC-CAM produces falsified, manipulated and fictive documents to serve political purpose in order to bury the truth about the Khmer Rouge. Therefore, DC-CAM induced in error the scholar studies of Khmer Rouge Era because of her published fabricated documents
To have a fair and transparent trial, and for the truth, the ECCC must reject all the documents and witnesses provided by Vietnam and China.
CACJE urges the international judges and Co-prosecutors to investigate more people, widening their scope to reach all the Khmer Rouge rulers from the top Chief of State to the region (DAMBAN) chief security forces. International judges and co-prosecutors must focus notably on the documents and witnesses. The polygraph machine might be used to sort out the witnesses.

Tuol Sleng killings alone would not constitute genocide, the prison may hav had actual anti-Khmer Rouge prisoners. The whole world seems to forget that the genocide included the killings that took place all over Cambodia starting from 04/17/75.
To use a possible propaganda film shot by invading troops who had every possible reason to defeat their enemy in the name of finding justice for over a million of the dead innocents is not truly a process of true justice.
I wish we can all see the film, but I don't think they used actors and actresses to create propaganda. If it is a real live clip, is should be admitted. You don't want to throw away the truth as they are very hard to come by. Plus, they say camera doesn't lie.

I am one of the khmer rouge victim too, For the pass years Chhang Youk had served bias to the Khmer Vietminh ruling party, and many of khmer observers have notice that.
I just wonder if Youk Chhang wants to bury the truth, why he initiated the idea to produce the Khmer Rouge history textbook to be educated at all the high schools in the country. Be a thinkable person, please. You have to know that he the victim of the Khmer Rouge as well, and his main purpose justice and truth. If he's bias or serves for any political party, so how can he get lot of support from many European countries, and including the US. Bear in mind that those countries are strongly anti-government.
Everyone have to let the court to decide on this matter. And i think the defendant lawyers have right to challenge anything that oppose their client, it is their role. If the lawyers accept everything, the defendant doesn't need them.

How do you think about the soul of victim parent (parent of Mr. Norng Chanphal and other orphan)who killed in S-21?
The souls of ALL VICTIMS should be respected - S-21 was just a tiny part of the Killing Field. S-21 was a political prison. The mass killings occurred outside of Tuol Sleng and there were many, many more perpetrators than just Duch. Many of S-21 were either active or Khmer Rouge supporters. A good number were communists who returned from Europe, like HNH. The break-up and paranoia took place when Vietnam, China, and Soviet broke apart, thus the purge and counter-purge between the Viet-backed (current ruling clique) and the defeated China-backed groups. This trial could do some damage to Chinese reputation, but not much at all for the innocent Khmer Rouge victims.
I support CACJE, Khmer Rouge victims does not presents only S-21 but more in countrywide. The soul of victims have to be respected but justice and trush be decided by brain not by heart.
I am also one Khmer Rouge victim but I don't want to trial only killer because the order person, in charge person and other on behind have to be included and trial too.
The person whose work and serve Cmmunist and were bought by Hun Sen, does not only Chhang Yuk but there are alot person from US and from EU, they are all still have supported by US & EU but is because of donor in Cambodia does not have enough of resource and lack of monitoring tool.
Who would believe the YOUN's film in here? Why they had their military filming the scene instead of independent film maker??

YOUN never have good intention for Cambodia since the beginning. They have had always causing chaotics for Cambodia since they set foot southward.
